Background: Nova lived in a village with her family. Her parents wanted her and her brother to get better at drawing runes to help protect them. Everyone in the village could use runes but this family was special. They were the last decendants of the first kitsunes. Nova wasn't good at first. She got better at them and quickly, faster than her brother too. This made Nova the heir of the Thorn bloodline. She earned five tails, more than any other female kitsunes.
But one day, Nova messed up badly. She was supposed to make a rune that created fire woth movement. Instead, she made a mistake and it blew up. It the night of a full moon, meaning the runes were more powerful while kitsunes themselves were weaker. Nova and a few other kids were the only ones that made it out alive.
Since then, Nova went by Raven. The nickname is the one her brother, Griffin, gave her. It's was a way to remember him and their parents by. The sword Nova has was her mother's and the bow and quiver her father's. She managed to go back and get them. Hardly anyone knew that town was there.
The town was called Hope. Nobody who knows about it really knows how it burnt down. Nova hides her ears and tail becuase kitsunes are called demons. Especially when they have more than 3 tails. Nova lives in an older cabin in the woods with Nightlight.
