The guards wasted no time in fleeing away from the building, letting us pass. "That was fast..." Yukio said. "What kind of demon is that? I've never seen it before." Konekomaru asked curiously, wanting to touch the wolf.

"Oh, no! I didn't actually summon anything." Mavis said, flicking her wrist, making the illusion disappear, which surprised the others.

"What?! B-But... It looked so real!" Rin said in shock. "I specialise in illusion magic. I could make anything appear" Mavis told them. "So that wolf wasn't real?! Because it could come in handy again!" Ryuji said, pointing to the other guards coming to get us.

"This, we can handle." Rin and I said. We drew out our weapons. "Satan Slash!" Rin and I yelled in unison. Our blue flames combined, creating a large wave of fire which went towards the two guards, sending them back, and Bakugo knocking them out.

"Easy victory!" Rin and I high fived each other. "Anyway, what was that?" Ryuji asked us.

"Satan Slash!" He laughed.

"Shut up! All this time, Shura has been using names for her techniques! She told us that we should do the same when we use our flames to picture it more easily in our mind! Shura told us, and also we had to come up with moves during hero training during the summer, and that was one of my moves!" I retorted.

"Well, it certainly is easy to remember for Rin." Suguro said. "Ah? Are you making fun of me?" Rin asked. "Nooo... You are so trustworthy." Takara said, sarcastically.

We went inside to see that we were in this empty mall.

"A shopping mall?!" Yukio asked, skeptically. "Do the people who got onto that bus earlier really live here? For an enemy base, there's not even a soul..." Ryuji said.

He was wrong there was... Rin and I were sensing something. "No, there is. There's something here. Don't lower your guard." I said. "Do you two feel something?" Yukio asked us.

"We have the shivers." Rin and I said.

"It might be all fake too..." Konekomaru asked. "Everyone, listen. We're in enemy territory. They will surely appear sooner or later. Preferably, we should try not to get separated. So, let's look for the underground entrance." Yukio said.

We started searching around the place. Rin spotted something and called out to it. The figure revealed itself to be a ghoul! No...wait... this ghoul was talking. Yukio took out his gun.

"Huungryyy." I heard the ghoul say. "Just now, did it say something?" Shiemi asked. Yukio shot it a few times in the head.

"What happened?! A ghoul?!" Konekomaru asked. "No. It talked. The chances are high that this is a zombie." Yukio told us. That was all he had to say for me to start to shake. "A-A-A z-z-z-zombie?!" I asked, a bit trembling.

I hated zombies. They creeped me out, especially in movies. Ghosts, I could tolerate, as long as they're not evil, but z-zombies... Oh hell no... "How are zombies and ghouls different?" I heard Rin ask.

"You're supposed to have learned it in class!" Ryuji told him. "The way to defeat a ghoul and a zombie differ slightly from each other. There exist rare individuals who can talk. And this is a characteristic of zombies.

To put it simply, ghouls are fairly easy to defeat in comparison to zombies. Zombies are more difficult to defeat or even handle." Konekomaru explained to Rin.

"Their conditions are different in the first place. Ghouls are demons that possess human corpses. Zombies are demons that parasitize the body of humans affected by necrosis." Yukio said.

"Humans... Then... If we exorcise the parasitic demons, wouldn't we save the hosts?!" Rin asked.

"There wasn't a single case where a body in a stage of necrosis this advanced ever regained their humanity. Putting them to rest is the only thing we can do for them." Yukio said.

"W-Wha k-kind of e-experiment were they c-c-conducting...?" I noticed the zombie getting up. "Kyaaah!" I let out a yelp. Thankfully, Yukio shot it again. "That's strange. I was sure that the last bullets passed through the brain." Yukio said.

I saw more z-zombies coming towards us, trembling. "Aki, are you okay?" Rin asked me. "Guys!" I pointed to the zombies behind them. They turned around to see what I was pointing at.

"Wha... Since when did so many...!" Rin said. "Mr. Okumura!" Konekomaru said. We turned to look at the zombie that Yukio killed. It was... regenerating?! Why?! Stay down!

"What's happening?!" Yukio asked in shock. Yukio started shooting some of them.

"Before we get surrounded, we need to find the underground entrance..." Mavis said. "H-Hurry!" I said, in a shaky voice.

"Are you afraid of zombies?!" Ryuji asked me in disbelief. "W-What?! N-No! I-I'm not a-afraid...!" I stuttered. "Akia, we know how much you hate the undead. Don't worry. You have us." Yukio told me. "Yeah, but how in the world are we supposed to fight regenerating zombies?!" I asked.

"There's no way out!" Ryuji said. We soon became surrounded. "It's no good. They've surrounded this side too! There are a lot of them." Ryuji said. "It's no good this way either!" Rin said. "I could do it in one shot with my bazooka. What do you guys think?" Ryuji asked.

"I think that it's best if we stop using our firearms. They don't work effectively against them. And if it fails to kill them instantly, we'll be swarmed by human torches. But if we use Akia and Rin's flames, we might be able to turn them into ashes instantly." Mavis said.

"Use us..." We asked. "Make up your mind already! There's no choice but to fight! If you hesitate... We might die!" Yukio told us. Just then, the ground opened below our feet, and we fell.
