"Because..." he paused and walked towards Yena, closing up the gap between the both of them.
He gently wrapped his arms around her upper torso and placed his chin on her shoulder.
It was like a pair of wings that just surrounded her magically and unexpectedly. She felt warmth as the pair of hands enfolded her like a favourite blanket. The hug made her feel comforted, not alone, loved, appreciated and so much more...
Her heartbeat increased as blood rushed up to her cheeks once again.
"Should I hug him back or not?" the thought kept popping up in her mind and she did.
Jungwon then shifted his head slightly, moving closer to her ear and whispered, "That's because my soulmate just saved my life. I have an unknown illness and I could have died just now but, without knowing that she was my soulmate, was willing to sacrifice her life."
She immediately pulled away from the hug, staring at him with widely opened eyes that looked like they could never shut.
She was at loss for words.
Well, she tried to say something but, nothing came out of her mouth.
Jungwon then bit his inner lip, lowering his head and mentally scolded himself, "Do you see that? You already know that she detests the fact of being with you, then why did you even tell her about it? Stupid asshole- Now, she's going to hate you even more."
Yena took a deep breath to calm herself and cleared her mind. Yet, she still felt embarrassed inside her.
She remembered reading from a book that soulmates could feel each other's feelings.
It must be Jungwon's feelings. Then, she placed herself into his shoes, realising how difficult it must be for him to gather his courage to tell her about that.
"Well, can you explain further?" Yena asked.
Jungwon looked up, slightly surprised and elated that Yena was not going to curse or scream at him about it.
"Aren't you angry at me? You hate it, right?" Jungwon brought his hopes down.
"No, why would I be angry at you? It's not like we can change anything now. So, I guess both of us just have to accept it." Yena ruffled his hair.
She did not know why she did that but, it was that burning urge of her inside to touch his hair.
"Your hair is so fluffy," she commented and noticed his eyes lit up and tried to hold in his smile.
Jungwon then patiently explained everything to yena, excluding the fact that he met her a long time ago. Yena just sat beside him, slowly processing all the things he said.
"Ooo! I'm a half-vampire. No wonder my wounds healed by themselves?!" Yena gasped and Jungwon hummed in response.
"Wait here! I will be right back!" Yena said, dashing to the toilet, checking herself on the mirror.
The cut on her neck was gone and the wounds that were on her back was gone too!
She cheerfully skipped out of the toilet and sat next to Jungwon. "I'm finally immortal." she beamed out of happiness.
