"Ok, we need to be careful now-"
A swift blur of obsidian zoomed past the hall before Dream could even finish. The motion setting off every trap as arrows flew like streaks of light, pistons opened up to reveal a great fall, sound of glass breaking echoing in the closed space.
The sword came back and resumed it's place above it's owner's shoulder.
"George!" They all yelled out in unison, scolding the male.
"What?! There's no traps anymore right?!"
Dream let his head hang in defeat, an irritated sigh leaving his lips before he summoned a clone of him as he enters.
At the end of the overgrown passage was a huge room with vines and moss covering most of the walls even hanging from the ceiling. The dust particles more potent, that Karl couldn't help but sneeze, the sound reverberating.
Dream surveyed the area to see the lone stone statue on the left wall, a figure in a black cloak with a skeleton body with the mouth hanging ajar. His abilities going haywire at the sight of it.
With that, he cautiously approached the statue, eyeing the statue from it's crown to it's toes. There's a flickering flame inside the hollow space where the eyes goes, the skull a little damaged with cracks here and there.
The fire does seem to glow brighter than it used to.
"Where is the knowledge though?" George's voice echoes.
Suddenly there was a whirring sound that threw everyone off. A yelp left Karl's lips as the ground beneath him shook violently that swept him off his feet. Sapnap, who was near, ran up to the time-traveller as Dream took a few steps back, the skeleton figure in front of him waking up.
The man watched in terror as blue fire raged inside its hollow eyes, mouth closing before a deep voice echoed in the space.
"Georgenotfound, the mortal who caught the eye of the God of Freedom, XD. Welcome to the Tower of Knowledge..."
"What the hell?!"
The skeleton then snapped to Karl. "Karl Jacobs, Seeker of the Mystical Timeline."
"What the- who the hell are you?!" Dream exclaimed, his sword out and ready to fight.
"Ah yes, Dream, the twin of the God of Freedom."
The ghostly figure then approached the blond, boney hands reaching out as if to touch but the fire coated arm that Sapnap thrusted between them made the skeleton halt.
"Don't touch him."
The skeleton's head did not move but the flame did, focusing on Sapnap creepily that the pyro user couldn't help but let a shiver wreck his body.
"You are conversing with the Guardian of the Tower, I am Custos."
"Yeah? Who am I then?" Sapnap asked, voice strong and eyes narrowed at the floating figure.
"King of the Nether, Sapnap."
"Am I really?"
"No answers to such questions are given for free."
Sapnap's clenched fist curled further as the fire raged stronger. "Guess who's gonna be giving answers after I burn you charred."
"So impatient, a proper figure of fire indeed."
Karl, who was watching from the sidelines, found himself next to George who had his sword spinning around him in a protective circle. The british man then pushed the time traveler behind him who in turned held his glasses in hand.
