6. break up with ur girlfriend

Polite as he was, Vinnie stopped and gave a smile. "Hi."

She tried to glow the way you had and since she had confidence, she figured she could win him over without doing so much.

"You're Vinnie."

"I am." He nodded.

She smiled. "I'm Jade."

Vinnie wasn't the one to avoid fan encounters but tonight he really just wanted to get back to you. And plus, she didn't give off the same energy as a fan.

"I'm really sorry," Vinnie decided to say. "But I really should get back to the front."

Jade's heart dropped but she smiled just in time. Vinnie frowned and looked down to where she placed her hand on his arm.

"I think-"

"You wanna just come with me?" She asked.

That made Vinnie really uncomfortable. Then he realized she had probably been waiting for him.

"I have a girlfriend." He muttered in a tight voice.

"But Vin-"

"I'm with someone." He cut her off and tried to dodge her.

"Ugh come on," Jade rolled her eyes. "I can make you forget about her."

He looked at her in disbelief. "No Jade. I'm happy and I'd like to get back to her now. But thanks for saying hey."

Vinnie pushed past her but with quick steps she caught up. She grabbed him by the shoulders and pushed him up against a wall.

Shocked, Vinnie held up both hands. "What the-"

Jade rose to her tip toes and had her lips on his before he was able to fight her off. Her eyes were shut and she was utterly pleased with herself.

It took Vinnie a second the realize what was going on. He was frozen in his spot and before his shaking hands managed to get her off of him. Instant tears formed in his eyes and he felt the remains of her sticky lip gloss. And it made him sick to his stomach.

"Vinnie." She said and was about to lean in for more.

"I- no, I'm not doing this." He seemingly fled from the situation.

"Wait! Vinnie!"

But he didn't. He was gone.

Vinnie was shaking and breathing heavily. "Fuck."

He came to a halt when he made eye contact with you. You smiled at him but it wasn't enough to calm him down. You caught sight of his expression.

"Vinnie?" You said his name but he didn't move. Guilt paralyzed his body and he really wanted to cry.

"Vinnie." You called him again.

"C'mon." He grabbed your hand.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"Let's go home."

You didn't argue with him and tried to keep up with his fast pace. Once you were outside, you stopped him.

"Vinnie-"

"Let's just go home. Okay?"

"No," you held his hand and pulled him back. "Look at me." You said but he didn't.

Vinnie couldn't keep himself together. He yanked his hand from yours and took a step back.

"Good Lord, what's wrong?" You asked.

"I'm sorry."

Vinnie looked at you and you saw a little of the glitter on his face even though he tried to wipe it off. You knew what was going on until you saw his eyes.

"Are you okay?"

"No, I'm not. What the hell, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to kiss her. I swear. She just pushed herself on to me-"

"Babe." You sighed and stepped closer.

You didn't want to hear what happened because you didn't want to imagine it. You put your hands around his neck. "It's not your fault."

"Yes it was. I'm so fucking sorry."

"Vinnie I love you."

He ran a hand through his hair. "I just kissed someone else and you say that you love me?"

You nodded. "Of course I do. You're not at fault when someone oversteps a line and forgets that they admire you but don't actually own you. I'm here, so stop hiding."

"So...you..." he tried. "You're not mad at me? Seriously?"

"No. And if you want me to go in there and kick her ass for you, then I will.

That put a smile on his face. You sighed in relief at the sight.

"I'm sorry."

"Stop saying that." You told him and brushed his hair from his face.

He kissed your lips and wrapped his hands around your waist.

"I love you."
