Chapter Seventeen

[A/n: Some of them are made up!!]

And, the both of them exchanged each other's paper, slowly scanning through it.

Yena immediately burst out in laughter when she read Jungwon's likes and she quickly snatched back her paper.

"Hey! I haven't read finished!" Jungwon called out and tried to snatch back the paper.

"Wait! Wait! I forgot the most important thing!" she giggled, correcting it and rewrote her answer.

Likes: Jungwon, Mother, holding hands and ramyeon

Jungwon looked at her and started out laughing too.

"YOU DIDN'T PUT MY NAME AT FIRST?" Jungwon pretended to be mad and he placed his hands on his waist.

"Now, you are just acting like an aunty!!" Yena joked.

"WHAT?!" Jungwon gently hit her with a pillow.

"HEY!" Yena quickly ran to her bed and got another pillow to hit him back.

And, they then started a pillow fight that was filled with pure happiness, love and laughter that could be heard across the room.

"God damn, that was tiring." Yena panted when she laid her back on the bed and Jungwon followed suit.

"Anyways, back to the paper." Jungwon held up Yena's paper as the both of them sat up again.

"Your English name is Victoria? That sounds nice," he commented.

"Yeap. My mother gave me that name. Victoria means victory. This is so that I could always stay strong all the time." Yena slightly sniffed and smiled at the thought of her mother as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Jungwon heard her sniff and quickly turned his head to look at her.

Her eyes were welled up with tears...

"Why are you crying? Don't cry..." he cupped her face and wiped the tear off her cheek.

"My mother passed away due to cancer. Why didn't you ask me about my family? Most people would ask though when they heard that my family is broken." Yena wiped her tears away.

"I don't want to ask you because I know that you wouldn't want to bring the topic up. I'm so sorry for bringing up about your mother." Jungwon apologised and placed her head on his shoulder while the both of them fidgeted with each other's fingers.

"I don't mind telling you now. For now, excluding soohee, you are the one I trust. Since you are my soulmate, you are going to know about this sooner or later." she then explained everything to him.

"Yena... Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Jungwon let out in shock.

Yena just plastered a weak smile across her face and wiped off her tears.

"Now, since I've shared with you my experience. Mind sharing yours?" she asked.

Jungwon hesitated.

However, he thought of the amount of courage Yena had gathered to bring that topic up to him.

Since it was only fair he if did the same, he reluctantly responded, "I don't share this with anyone except sunghoon, jay and Niki."

"Well, I'm not anyone right now." Yena looked at him and held onto his hand.

"Of course, you aren't. That's why I'm telling you now." Jungwon said.

"When I was younger, I always get bullied by other vampires. I was called rich and perfect in all ways."

"And, of course, some people were jealous of me, especially my seniors. I was always biased by teachers even when I do absolutely nothing."

"It was mostly because my father was the vampire king. However, during that time, I wasn't into powers and all. I was into studying. and then I got bullied by seniors a lot."

"My father didn't know about it since vampires were immortal and we would be able to heal our wounds quickly."

"My father didn't like the idea of me choosing to study instead of having vampire training but, he reluctantly gave in due to my mother's persuasion."

"I then vowed to him that I will learn all about powers when I've finished college studying which was pretty quick. As I am always ahead of others."

"I've finished college studying at the age of fourteen. Therefore, like what I've promised my father, I went for training and now, I'm here." Jungwon explained.

"Don't bother about those idiots. You are strong, smart, perfect and...." Yena paused.

"And?" he raised his eyebrows.

She unexpectedly pulled him into a hug and whispered into his ear, "Mine." and she pulled away.

A smirk instantly escaped from Jungwon's lips while an idea suddenly popped up in his head.

He just could not wait to see her reaction afterwards.
