Still Here Ch. 12

"Lili!" I hear my best friend Ashley scream.

"Ashley! Henrey! You guys are back from Mexico. Nice tan by the way."

"Why thank you" She says twirling around. "So what have I missed?" She says as she sits down and Henrey goes buys something.

"Well let's see, I went to Chicago, lost my virginity, went to a wedding, went out with Josh, and just recently broke up with Josh. Well got broken up with."

"Wait, wait, wait. You, Lili Bart lost her virginity!" she said this pretty loud which got us a few glares from people.

"Well thanks now everyone knows about that." I whisper.

"Sorry"

"It's ok."

"So you and Joey? Or Josh?"

"I'm not talking about this."

"Come on I'm your best friend."

"Fine yes it was Joey and it was just a liaison."

"One night stand" She smirks at me.

"Liaison"

"Night Stand"

"Fine call it what you want."

"Wait and what's this Josh situation."

"Well we went out for three weeks and we just broke up."

"Wow."

"I know just about four minutes ago."

"What!"

"Yup"

"Poor you" She says hugging me.

"It's ok. I mean it wasn't meant to be anyways."

"Still"

"I guess but hey whatever there's more guys out there."

"You mean Joey."

"No! I'm over him."

"Uh-huh sure"

"Come on you can't lie to me I'm your best friend."

"Fine I'm not over him but that doesn't mean I'm going to go with him."

"Why?"

"You remember the Emily girl I told you about?"

"Yes?"

"Well she's pregnant. Guess who the baby daddy is."

"No!"

"No? What?" Henrey asks.

"You know that Emily girl?"

"Who?" He asks.

"Emily!" Ashley says.

"I don't know who that is." He says.

"It doesn't matter. All you have to know is that Joey is her baby's daddy."

"That's good, right?"

"You men are so stupid!" I hear someone say 'amen' behind me. "You're lucky I love you." Ashley says.

"I love you too." He kisses her.

"Ok I'm going to go." I say getting up.

"Why?" Ashley asks.

"I have some things to do."

"Like?"

"Homework"

"Oh that's right you're still in college I forgot about that."

"Yea I'm not like you two who already graduated."

"Ok. Well call me when you aren't busy."

"I will." I say hugging her.

"Bye Henrey." I say hugging him.

"See you later." He says.

Just as I walk out I get a phone call.

"Hello?"

"Hi Lili It's me Angie."

"Oh hi how have you been?"

"Good and you."

"I've been good too. How was the move?"

"Long." She laughs.

"I can imagine." I laugh.

"Yea. Now we're just looking for a house to buy."

"There's a house next to my sister that's for sale. I don't if you guys want to take a look at it. I'm sure the neighbors will let you see it."

"That'd be great. Where exactly is it at?"

"It's up north close to San Francisco."

"Let me ask Chris about it." I hear her asking Chris about it in the background. "He said that would be great."

"Good. If you have nothing to do tomorrow I'd be more than happy to take you."

"That's really nice of you. Thank you."

"No problem. Do you want me to pick you guys up?"

"Sure "

"Great just call me any time after two. I have class before two that's why."

"Ok I will."

"Ok. See you tomorrow then."

"Alright. Bye."

"Bye."

Good now the promise I made to Lucas is settled.

I drove back to the dorm and went straight upstairs. I sat down on my bed Indian style arguing with myself if I should call or not.
