"It's good to see you too," Stiles said. "All of you."
...
Isaac closed his bedroom door behind him as Marley looked around. She could see that he was finally starting to treat the McCall residence as a home. He had hung pictures from the wall (mainly pictures Marley had drawn) and stuck pieces of coloured materials up, the ones you use to pick a colour of paint. Marley walked up to them and pointed to one.
"You should paint you're room this colour," Marley said as she pointed to a grey paper on the wall. "It's professional and really describes who you are as a person."
Isaac smiled at Marley's joke and lowered his head. He took Marley's hands and slowly hooked them behind his neck. She complied and stepped closer to him as his hands held her waists. Isaac swayed gently, guiding Marley's feet to step back and forth with his own. She smiled and kept her forehead close to his.
"I do like this. But what's it for?" Marley asked quietly. Isaac looked into Marley's eyes like they enchanted him.
"Because I love you," Isaac said. Marley blushed and looked down. They swayed for more silent seconds, neither one minded. Marley's fingers played with the back off Isaac's sweater. "I'm going to run away with you."
Marley looked back up at Isaac, immediately feeling his hair tickle her forehead. He held his eyes closed, as if imagining everything play out. He had imagined his and Marley's future together so many times, but now he was almost certain that it was true. So Marley closed her eyes too.
"When this school term is over, or maybe even before, when we can finally take a break, I am going to take you to Italy," Isaac said, sweetly and quietly, his voice laced with love. "You've always wanted to go. You always tell me, you want to paint the cities."
Isaac continued to talk as Marley fell for his ideas, his needs. "And when we graduate, we can move there. We'll buy an apartment, I'll get seven different jobs just to pay rent," Marley laughed quietly.
"I'm going to Marry you," Isaac whispered. Marley opened her eyes, looking up to see Isaac still with his closed. She studied his emotions: serious and sensitive. He had meant what he said. "We are going to be that couple that gets married right after graduation. The couple that everyone thinks will divorce straight after, but never do."
"Isaac," Marley whispered, her words barley audible over her tears. He kept on talking.
"And, If you want, we'll have kids. If we have a little girl, we'll call her Luna because she's a ravenclaw like you, and because it means moon. I thought that would be smart. She'd have your eyes with my curls," he said, a smile forming in his face. A tear fell down Marley's cheek. "And if we had a boy, he'd be called Oakley. I'm not sure why, but I like it. Maybe because it's unusual."
"Isaac," Marley said again, louder this time. He opened his eyes slowly, looking into Marley's watery ones. She looked into his eyes, his bright blue eyes, and saw nothing but love. She was lost for words.
"I'm in love with you," Isaac said, his noses brushing against Marley's. "I don't just love you, Marley. I'm in love with you."
Marley couldn't say anything. She just stood in her toes and connected her lips to Isaac's. He kissed back gently, pulling Marley in by her waist. Her hands moved from his neck to his face, smoothing over his cheeks. Isaac pulled away and reconnected their lips and deepened it.
"Isaac!" Melissa called from downstairs. "Dinners ready. And tell Marley she's welcome to stay."
Marley pulled away from the kiss after Melissa stopped speaking. She rested her forehead on Isaac's, feeling the air from his nose in her cheek. He reached up and brushed the tear from her face.
