I didn't care at the moment I just needed her to leave while I finish. So, I just went with it.
I sigh and comply, "Bestfriend."
"Yes", she replies with a cheeky smile on her face.
"It's gonna take like 10 minutes for me to finish this. Breakfast will be ending by then so you should go by there if you haven't eaten."
"I'm not hungry." Well there goes that plan.
"But I do want some apple juice, I'll be back."
Bet! She's gone. Now I can focus. I need to speed this up. I get back to work finishing up, and finalizing details.
I must've had tunnel vision, because I was finish before Reese could even make it back. I downloaded everything I needed, sent the files to my email as well, and logged out of the computer. I sent my client their website and domain and got up. I went back to Mrs.Willam's desk and hit the little bell on top. She was no where to be seen.
Reese came back in sipping on an apple juice box. As she made her way to me the door behind the desk slowly opened and Mrs.Williams body stood in the opening.
She beckoned me, "come on in Kamie".
"Alright."
I
scoffed on the inside at the nicename. I made my way around the desk, but remembered Reese. I turned around looking at her, she had a frowned brow.
"I'll just be a minute."
She shrugged her shoulders, "I guess".
I quickly disappeared into Mrs.Willams office and jumped on the couch. I layed on my side with my head propped up on my hand. Mrs.Willams sat in her chair. She broke the brief silence, "I wanted to get you a laptop early. And of course give you this years run down lovely". I just smiled and listened. Mrs.Willams pulls some papers out of her draw.
Then continues speaking, "Okay so boom, Mr.Benson's bowling ball head ass is gone." Her straight face made it all that the more hilarious. Mr.Benson was the hot head principal from last year. He had a big head on a little body. I join in, "look like an Atomic Fireball on a toothpick?" As if I didn't know who she was talking about. We bust out laughing.
"Yeah that's the one. Anyways, when did you start rolling with that girl?"
"Who, Reese? Today. She's a puzzle."
"I bet. I heard she's a bit out of it. She's been in foster since a baby. Who know's what truma the poor girl has been through. All I know is she can be one person one day and a completely different one the next day. I'm not downing the child, but if you're running with her be careful. I just want you safe".
What Mrs.Williams said made Reese make more sense, but also opened up more doors for questions. She also ain't have to say all that, though. Is she jealous? Lord I don't need these shenanigans.
"Next we have Brandon Wilks, the school's number one homophobe. Stear clear of him he's overly agressive."
"Easy."
I hardly even talk to many guys and I dont have guy friends. Not even one. I surround myself with females. Besides my Dad of course. I told myself I'd make one guy friend this year. I'm still up for it, but I'm in no rush.
