"It makes sense! I believe her! Please give Loki a chance!" Thor begs.
Wow... desperate much? No, wait... he's defending me. I should be grateful. I am grateful.
"I don't think we can forgive him, Thor." Agent Romanoff sighs.
"But he's capable of being good because it wasn't him!" Thor exclaims.
Why did I ever think they could forgive me?
"But he's capable of being good because it wasn't him!" Thor exclaims.
"No, he isn't, plus it doesn't matter! He tried to enslave the human race, killing countless people in the process along with destroying multiple homes and workplaces!" Captain Rogers snaps.
Stark is still ready to blast me, not even caring that Y/N is still standing right in front of me.
"You need to listen to me. He honestly wasn't in control." Y/N whispers, shocked yet again at herself.
Y/N slowly puts her hand up, palm facing Stark's blaster, for some reason, prepared to defend me as Stark stares at her.
"I don't care what you say! He isn't good, and he never will be..." Stark declares, "He isn't capable of anything but lying and killing."
I feel my breath get shaky at his words.
'He isn't good, and he never will be!' Rattles through my brain, playing again and again in just a split second.
I quickly get my breath back to normal.
"It's quite unnecessary for you to yell, Stark." I calmly point out with a bit of a smirk on my face.
"Shut the hell up, Loki!" Stark screams, irritated by the calmness in my voice, making a small smirk come onto my face again.
Y/N drops her hand back down to her side.
Did she... realize who I am?
The thought plus her action make me feel even more disappointed in my past actions. Yes, I was being controlled, but I still did it nonetheless.
"Brother, please!" Thor pleads, causing my attention to turn to him, "It's best if you stay out of this."
"Well, excuse me, but I would appreciate the man who has a large say in my fate to be calm and level-headed," I reply coolly with a hint of sarcasm.
"I trust Fury, meaning I trust Y/N, and she has no reason to lie." Agent Barton reasons.
I... didn't see that coming. He's defending me when I used the scepter on him?... I guess people can be good and forgiving. Take notes, Stark.
"So what are you suggesting, Clint?" Agent Romanoff asks pointedly as she crosses her arms and faces Agent Barton.
"I think we should give him a chance," Agent Barton fearlessly replies to the deadly assassin who, frankly, I'm sometimes intimidated by.
"Are you insane?!" Stark spouts.
Agent Barton shrugs his shoulders, "Eh."
I smirk at his response before remembering one of the main reasons I'm here.
"I wish to tell you that I am sorry, Agent Barton." I cut in.
Everyone's eyes go to me, staring at me in shock, only being able to stare due to how speechless everyone is.
