"Here," the manager of the team says as she hands you your water bottle. You thank her for it and drink it.
"Hey, can you get me a shoulder supporter? Or some tape. Either works," you ask of her and she nods. She leaves to go get it from one of the bags.
"No, you're not thinking that I'm going to put you back out there with an injury," Mr. Lee says as your health comes first.
"Coach, I've played many sports with an injured ankle, wrist, shoulder, back and more. The bone isn't broken. It just hurts but with either a supporter or some tape, I can make the pain tolerable as I know my way around it as this sort of thing happens to me a lot," you tell him as you look at him in the eyes. You need him to let you go back, "Please trust me. You have begged me to join the team and now that I'm in it, I'm begging you to let me go back out there to play. It doesn't have to be right away but please," you ask of him.
"I'm sorry but I can't let you back in the game when you're injured like that," Mr. Lee tells you as if anything happens to you, he will be responsible. But he needs to be a teacher, coach and parent all at the same time. He understand what you're trying to do and what you want to do but he can't allow it. "You need to heal. If you damage your shoulder more, there could be a chance you won't be able to play volleyball anymore. But I am willing to give you two options," he says which you were disappointed on.
"First option," Mr. Lee says, "You go to the infirmary with Seiko or two, you put on the shoulder supporter and stay here to support your teammates," he says which made you clench your fist, "(Name), volleyball is a sport of six, not one. Yes, you're serves are amazing and it could get us a few points but you also need to believe in your teammates," he tells you which made you take a deep breath.
"I'll put on the shoulder supporter and support my friends," you tell him which made him smile great.
Seiko, the manager of the team, runs to you with a shoulder supporter that she was able to find. "Do you want to go to the bathroom to put it on?" Seiko ask and you shake your head.
"No, it's going to take too much time to go there and back. Let's just doing here," you say which confused Mr. Lee and Seiko as putting it on would involve you in taking off your shirt and let's not forget that there's a lot of people and cameras here.
"But, Senpai--"
You smile, "Don't worry," you tell her as you gently take the shoulder supporter. You then put your arms inside your volleyball jersey as well as the shoulder support. You had to put in on under your shirt which did look weird but it was also very painful but you were able to do it.
It's been a while, you tell yourself as you put your arms back in the sleeves. The last time you had to wear one of these was two years ago but that's only because the doctors recommended it and your father bought one for you. As well as one for the wrist, ankle, knee, elbow... You had many injuries cause by both fights at school and sports.
"Coach, can you call for a time out?" you ask him which made him look at you wondering why, "I have an idea," you tell him and he nods. He gets up and signals the ref for a time out when the other team was going to serve.
The boys were watching the match and they were extremely worried about you. They have never seen you one the ground like that with a very painful expression. Toru felt like running down there to check on you but he can't. He feels useless.
"If you just kept your mouth shut!" Ena yells at Anna who shows her a fake confuse face which didn't work on them anymore. Not even the first years believe her. And the thing is that Toru is starting to see her true colours. He's having seconds thoughts about her and who she is.
