S2 Episode 13: Sacrifice

Serenity then puts Sari down. "I'm going to go off by myself for a little bit.", Serenity replied.

"But, what about the Decepticons?", Sari asked. "Don't worry! I'll be fine.", Serenity replied, as she rushed off.

Sari went inside and was greeted by Optimus. "Hello, Sari. Where is Serenity?", Optimus asked.

"She went off on her own for a bit.", Sari replied. A look of panic crossed Optimus' features.

"Perhaps I should go and find her?", Optimus asked. He started to walk out, but Sari stopped him.

"Optimus, what exactly are you going to do about you and Serenity? I mean, we all know you love her and she loves you. But, when is one of you going to take the next step?", Sari said. Optimus looked at Sari, then back out the door.

Then, looked at the rings in his hand. "Today... Today I'm going to take the next step.", Optimus told her.

Serenity walked through the woods, alone with her thoughts. "How can that be true?", Serenity whispered to herself.

But as she walked, she stumbled onto a bush with two pigeons flying out. Her mind then turned to Optimus, wishing he was there with her right now.

Not wanting to be alone. Without even realizing it, she started to make her way to the spot where she and Optimus danced and they both shared their secrets.

As she walked, a pair of deer jumped out in front of her, nuzzling each other. Serenity looked away, loneliness filling her spark.

She made her way over to the spot. A bunch of fireflies flying out again, reminding her of that night.

Smiling to herself, as she sat down. Once again, her mind drifted with thoughts of her love.

Optimus started looking for Serenity. He thought of calling her, but decided against it.

Hoping to surprise her with a visit, Optimus went to the docs. She wasn't there.

He went to the park, she wasn't there. He went to the race track, she wasn't there.

"Where could she be?", Optimus thought. Maybe he should call her just to make sure she was safe.

But then, it hit him. He knew exactly where she was.

Optimus drove to her special spot. The one when the Elite Guard first arrived.

Optimus then transformed and started walking. Optimus saw Serenity sitting, looking up at the sky, deep in thought.

Optimus thought he could stand there forever. "Hi, Seri!", Optimus greeted.

Serenity jumped and Optimus felt bad for disturbing her peace. "Sorry! I didn't mean to-", Optimus apologized.

"No, Optimus. I actually didn't want to be alone.", Serenity said. She gestured for him to sit next to her.

Optimus sat next to her and she leaned up against him. Optimus felt his face plate heat up, but at the same time it felt good to be with her.

Slowly, he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer. Optimus slowly pulled out the ring, before taking a deep breath.

"S-Serenity, there is s-something... I... I...", Optimus stuttered. He looked into her eyes.

A feeling of warmth washed over him. He also felt his face plates heat up.

"I-I... Um... Remember when we first came here together?", Optimus asked. He tried to grab the rings.

Serenity looked away for a second. "How could I ever forget? It's one of my most fond memories of us.", Serenity replied.

Optimus was shocked for a moment, but it passed. But, during that time, he had dropped the rings.
