(Osamu Dazai x Reader) The Choice...(SEQUEL)

Beautiful Summer Day...

"Why should we help you?"

"I have payment methods, if that will suffice." 

Kunikida was about to say something but caught a glance of Dazai's expression. He knew his co-worker still hated this man for what he did...

"We don't do payment." Atsushi and Dazai both glanced at Kunikida with shocked expressions. Dazai almost feeling a sort of gratitude towards him. Ango sighed and scratched his head, he then glanced at Kaori who was also looking at Kunikida with a shocked expression.

"Kaori-chan?"

"Y-Yes?" She replied, now looking at him. Dazai of course watched Ango closely as Ango made his way towards Kaori.

"Would you like to see something?"

"Um...sure?"

Ango then stood back up and clicked something on his computer, a bunch of videos appearing. He clicked on the very first one and hit the play button.

"I'm gonna be a hero! Look mommy look!"

A little girl was in the video. Smiling at the woman behind her, who Kaori assumed was her mother.

"These videos were taken by my boss...who was in charge of watching this family's child...(Y/N) (L/N)..." he glanced at Kaori before he said, "she..is your mother. This is her past...when she was your age."

Dazai's eyes widen, the little girl on the screen was...

"My..mom?" Kaori asked, as she looked at the screen more intently. She always told herself that she didn't want to learn too much about her mother. But now that the answers were right in front of her, she couldn't think of a reason to not wanna see more.

"I see youu! Over the rising sunn~"

"Another song (YN)?"

"Mhm! I wanna make a whole bunch of songs and sing them! Just like mommy!"

"Haha...well good luck with that squirt."

Ango had then showed a whole bunch of videos. All of a younger (Y/N). Everyone thought it was rather heart warming to see Kaori's bright face as she saw her mother on the camera.

But for Dazai, he of course was okay with it. But didn't at all think of this as something to help him forgive Ango.

But seeing her...seeing (Y/N) again...

Soon enough, they reached the final and last video. As Dazai saw the thumbnail on the front he felt his heart skip a beat. She looked so perfect in her police uniform...

Plus she looked exactly like she did when they first met...

On that fated night...

Ango pressed the play button, the sound of cheering echoed throughout the hall that the video was being recorded in.

"Taneda, do you really need to record this?"

"Why of course! I'll be making it the last one ever."

"Jesus, what are you my dad?"

"Oh please...I could never beat him.."

"Ayee-it's time!"

(Y/N) looked at the camera, a concerned yet happy expression on her face. Taking a deep breath she waved at the camera before walking down the hall, the crowd cheering as she walked up some stairs.

"Then finally-out final and last new recruit, best of her class, (Y/N) (L/N)!"

Chief Taneda walked up down the hall and showed the stage. (Y/N) smiling as she got handed her badge from the city mayor and waving at the crowd below. The spotlight above her making her smile the brightest thing in the entire room...
