"They told me exactly what it was when they sent me here. Nothing like what goes on at Stark Industries. A dead end where I couldn't cause anymore trouble for the rest of the board."
"You were on the board?"
"Back when your father ran things."
"You know my father?"
"Sure. Helped him build his train. Beautiful project, routed right into (L/N) Tower, along with the water and power utilities. Made (L/N) tower the unofficial heart of Gotham."
Fox led (Y/N) over to one of the tall crates, opening it to reveal a dark grey bodysuit.
"Here it is," Fox said, gesturing to the suit. "The nomex survival suit for advanced infantry. Kevlar biweave, reinforced joints..."
"Bulletproof?"
"Anything but a straight shot."
"Tear-resistant?"
"This sucker'll stop a knife."
"Why didn't they put it into production?"
"The bean counters figured a soldier's life wasn't worth the 300 grand." He looked over at (Y/N), who was studying the material. "What do you want with it, Mr. (L/N)?"
"I want to borrow it," he said. "For spelunking. You know, cave-diving."
"Expecting a lot of gunfire down in these caves?"
"Listen, I'd rather if Mr. Earle didn't know about me borrowing-"
"Mr (L/N), the way I see it, all this stuff is yours, anyway."

Back in the cave beneath (L/N) Manor, (Y/N) hammered a bracket into one of the cavern walls, securing a light fixture. Alfred stood nearby, near the switch.
"Okay!" (Y/N) said. "Give it a try!"
Alfred flipped the switch on the generator, turning on the various lamps hammered into the cave walls. He looked around at the dark, dingy surroundings.
"Oh, charming," Alfred said sarcastically. He noticed the bats covering the ceiling. "At least you'll have company!"
(Y/N) lowered himself down and looked up to see brick foundations in one of the corners of the cave.
"Must be the lowest foundations of the southeast wing!" Alfred said.
He followed (Y/N) as he climbed up to the foundations, finding a small lift which was likely a service elevator in the past.
(Y/N) rattled the chains in the lift to find that they were still connected up above.
"During the Civil War," Alfred said, "Your great grandfather was involved with the Underground Railroad. Secretly transporting freed slaves to the North. I suspect these caverns came in handy."
(Y/N) walked to the other end of the cave, looking up at the illuminated waterfall in awe. "Alfred, come up here!"
"I can see it very well from here, thank you sir."
(Y/N) placed his hand in the running water.

Gordon sat in the passenger seat of his police cruiser. His partner, Flass, was in a liquor store, glad-handing the owner. Flass irritated Gordon considerably, as he was a dirty cop who worked for Carmine Falcone.
Flass walked back into the cruiser, holding a wad of cash. "Don't suppose you want a taste?" Gordon stared at him. "I keep offering cause who knows, maybe one day you'll get wise."
"Nothing wise in what you do, Flass."
"Yeah? Well, Jimbo, you don't take your taste- makes us guys nervous you might decide to roll over-"
"I'm no rat, Flass. In a town this bent, who's there to rat to anyway?"

Gordon slumped back into the chair in his office, tired. It wasn't easy being the only good cop in Gotham. He suddenly noticed a book on his desk, picking it up. Phylum Peracopda: The Twilight World of Bats.
He felt something press against his shoulder blades. "Don't turn around."
Gordon froze. Little did he know, not only was it (Y/N) (L/N) in a ski mask behind him, he was also holding a stapler, not a gun.
"What do you want?" Gordon asked.
"I've been watching. You're a good cop," (Y/N) said. "One of the few. What would it take to get Falcone?"
"Carmine Falcone?"
"He brings in shipments of drugs every week, nobody takes him down. Why?"
"He's paid up with the right people."
"What would it take?"
"Leverage on Judge Phelan. And a DA brave enough to prosecute."
"Rachel Dawes in the DA's office."
"Who are you?"
(Y/N) ignored the question. "Watch for a sign."
"You're just one man."
"Now, we're two."
"We?"
There was no reply. Gordon spun around, seeing that the man was gone. He looked to the window to see him climbing up the fire escape frantically, slipping onto the roof quietly.
Gordon rushed to get to the roof, drawing his gun. A pair of uniforms follow him up.
(Y/N) turned back to see Gordon and the uniforms burst onto the roof. "Freeze!"
(Y/N) jumped towards the gap, reaching for the other side. He missed, grabbing the balcony below, which broke under the sudden increase in weight. (Y/N) dropped onto the balcony below, climbing onto the wall, disappearing into the shadows.
"Who was that?" One of the uniforms asked.
"Some nut," Gordon dismissed.
