Feyre's POV:
Shad was kind enough to let me travel upon his back. Instead of the horses that always seemed to give me back problems. The Illyrian Females flew close to the ground. While our fastest flier, Delia, was scouting ahead.
Delia was faster than Emerie by a good deal. She was young though. About twenty-two, The Reaper had spent a lot of time showing her how to strengthen her wings. And teaching her Raskian techniques to make her fly faster.
Emerie flew beside Regina who was atop Ray. While I was atop Shad, who was a very smooth runner. The rest were Illyrian females who were Enjoying the freedom that their wings brought them. I saw Delia pop through the clouds. I shouted, "Get ready!"
Delia flew up beside Regina and Ray. She declared, "Winnow us about ten miles up then stop near the Spring Court border."
I asked her, raising up from Shad a bit. He growled, sensing he couldn't shield me anymore. "Why?"
Delia shouted over the wind, "There is a blockade, I assume Amarantha put it there. It's a bunch of beasts and we'll have to winnow past them, but we cannot winnow from here because we wouldn't be able to clear enough distance on the Autumn court side for them not to see us."
I watched Emerie peel off from the rest of us and take a sharp cut east. I just barely heard her, "You had a tail Delia!"
I watched the young female wince and apologies quickly. Emerie smiled at her, "Don't worry it'll be for fun this way."
Frost's small ice stones, across his head, glowed. I saw a shield settle around us, and Shad barked something at Cloud, who used her magic and danced herself up above the Clouds. Regia hissed, "She can fly?"
"She is from Dawn Court!" I shouted back to her. So much for winnowing, Shad, the wolves, and the other Illyrians could have us at the border in minutes.
I watched two beast looking creatures dive from the clouds. I winced, they had longer looking ears than fae. Claws that dictated the movement of their hands, while their teeth seemed to hand out of their mouth.
I murmured in Shad's ear and he barked loudly. I watched as Ray set an allusion over them so they looked strangely, large, regular wolves. I asked Regina, "What the hell are they?"
"Faeries," She answered back. I snapped, "What kind."
She blinked at me in annoyance, "You know lesser faeries! The ones who can't look human."
"Their race, Regina, their race!" I shouted at her. Regina shrugged, "They are lesser faeries!"
I rolled my eyes, "That's their social class!" Regina snapped at me, "It's what they are!"
"It sounds like what the Illyrian males did to them." I threw my finger out and pointed at the Illyrian females around us. Regina winced. I snarled, "They have different looks, and blood, and just maybe different organs than us. So what race are they?"
"I don't know they are all classified as lesser faeries!" Regina snapped harshly. I rolled my eyes and glared daggers at the two male looking beings who were fast diving towards us. Heads were thick and boney, claws and arms built for ripping, Teeth built for shredding things, and wing- wings.
I shouted, "Get behind them! Aim for the place between their wings!" The Illyrian females split off, and I pulled my bwo from my back. I fired an arrow at the diving faeries. One snapped it from the air and split it in half. It was enough for Delia to pop out behind him.
She crushed her boots into his back, raising her sword above her head. She pushed it through just enough where I could barely see it sticking out the front. Delia flipped off of her target and dove for the next one. I pulled another arrow. He was smarter, his friend had died, he had not. He dodged, causing Delia to swerve doging as well. She lost speed.
