River popped out of the clouds and wrapped her rope around his arm. She pulled out, causing the faerie to slow down. Oakley popped out beside him, and through her own rope around his other arm.

Zosia and Helene came from the clouds at the same time. Zosia wrapped her rope around his neck, while Helene held his leg in place with hers. Delia got in for the clean cut, his head fell through the air.

I glanced around looking for Emerie.I watched her stab another one of the faeries through the cut. She swerved dodging a sword. She tangled them up in her rope and they didn't even notice.

Once she had them wrapped up, she simply let go of the rope. I could almost hear their bones shattering from here. Emerie flew up beside me, "There is a High Lord approaching."

I nodded and handed her another rope from my bag. She smiled at me in thanks. Emerie shouted something in Illyrian. The females formed up in a V shape with Oakly flying at the back. Maple was under her.

"Maple, can you go up a head near the border, and set the plant life closest to the guards on fire? On the summer side." Her bark was cold and warm at the same time. The fiery wolf darted off, I quickly realized the wolves were not running at full speed.

Either so the Illyrians could keep up, or to save energy so they could go longer. Cloud landed softly beside us and held a satchel in her arms. I reached out and took it from her.

I searched the satchel quickly, then realized. I whistled lowly, my raven and a few others flew around me. I handed two reports to each one. "Get those to High General Kana."

The Raven's flew off back toward the human-lands. Regina seemed a bit pissed, I chose to ignore it. For acknowledging it would only make it worse. I ordered Delia, "Scout and see if there are any messengers."

Delia was at a higher altitude faster than I could blink. I asked Emerie, "Which High Lord is it?"

"Tamlin," Emerie spoke quickly, her eyes on a swivel. "It's a fair shot between me and you. You because he'll want revenge on Kana. Me because I got him caught."

I nodded and scanned the fields, Tamlin's beast for exactly as it was called. A beast. From what I've heard, he'll have horns, and a giant wolf-ish lion form. Teeth, big teeth. And green eyes that always gave him away.

"Gaia, Bay, and Frost root out Tamlin, try to avoid fighting him though. Just get his location out enough where we can either kill or trap him." I ordered. They broke off from the rest of us quickly. They broke out in a full run, trying to find their hunt.

Regina said to me, "We can't just kill a High Lord." I frowned, we truly couldn't.But I would if it was necessary. "You can't but if it comes down to it I will."

Regina snapped, "You'll get court martialed!" I shook my head and grinned at her, "For the good of all, Regina."

She blinked, then realized my train of thought. Her grin was savage. Barking and growling filled my ears. I pressed my head down into Shad's fur. The shadow of a beast crossed over me. Tamlin was here. I pulled a knife from my belt. I turned and saw him, the weakling High Lord.

He didn't seem so weak. I flung my knife at him. He moved too quickly for it to do any real damage. But at least the ash wood would stop the slice on his shoulder from the healer.

He snarled, "She'll kill you! Turn around!" I grinned at him, "For the good of all, High Lord."

His eyes went wide. Regina amplified her voice, "Formation Six!!" The Illyrian females popped out of the clouds picking off the fae they deemed their targets. I faced Tamlin, who was struggling to keep up with the wolves. He was probably faking it. "Betray me, Tamlin, you will die. I don't care what the hell you are, betray me Tamlin of Spring Court. Death will find you."
