I nod.

"Well, what happened? They didn't—they didn't...I mean they couldn't...no—that's—that's crazy. There's no way," Wyatt says trying to justify what I already know to be true. "That's impossible. Steffy would never do that. I mean even Dad, as much as he can't stand you, he would never...he wouldn't do—do that. That's a line no matter how you feel that you don't cross."

I take the last sip of my coffee. "Well rest assured my brother, they absolutely did do that. Steffy confessed it all to me."

"What? This is insane. Why would she do something like that? I can't believe this. Honestly Dad, I could expect this from, but Steffy? No way, that doesn't sound like Steffy at all. She would never do something like that. I know how much she loves you. You guys worked so hard to get back together. There's no way she would destroy that."

I smirk sarcastically. "Well she did, and she destroyed us in the process. Destroyed any hope of a future we had together."

Wyatt sighs, "I'm so sorry Liam, I really am. I can't imagine what you are feeling right now and what is going through your head. Why did she confess? That night happened a couple months ago, why did she do it now after all this time?"

"I found paternity papers for the baby, in her purse. I mean, at that point what else could she do but confess? She tried giving me some bullshit story that it was just a routine test, but I knew better than that. I pushed and pushed until she finally broke down and told me everything that happened."

"Oh my god, Liam, I—I can't." Wyatt looks down before looking back up at me licking his lips. "What happened after she confessed?"

I didn't want to get into word for word, action for action with him, so I decided to just give him the basics. "She begged for forgiveness, told me how much she loved me and promised to be the most loyal wife and mother she could be and that I'd never have to question her devotion to me."

"Wow," Wyatt replied not really knowing what else to say. "How did you find out it was Dad?"

I sigh, "After she confessed it what happened and she made those declaration and promises, I knew that I wouldn't be able to get by it unless I knew who it was. I didn't think I could ever look at her not knowing who it was that slept with her. I yelled at her to tell me who it was, and she finally said Dad's name."

"Oh Liam," Wyatt says in a comforting tone.

"I knew in that moment things would never be the same. My entire world came crashing down in full force. Everything I knew, loved and trusted in was gone. Steffy was my world and the one thing I could rely on. Our father took that away from me. I will never forgive him for this betrayal. Nothing will ever be the same again.

"I can't—can't. There are no words to justify any of this. I can't apologize to you enough for this."

"You did nothing wrong, Wyatt. You shouldn't be apologizing. You weren't the one to betray me, and hurt me in the most unspeakable way."

Wyatt gulps. "I'm afraid to ask what happened after all was revealed. How did it end? How did you leave it with Steffy? Obviously, since you are here and look the way you do, I'm sure it was a bitter end. I'm assuming you walked out on her?"

I nod. "Yes, I told her it was over. That she destroyed us and that there isn't any going back for us. She not only destroyed our lives, but the life of the baby that she is carrying. That baby will never have a stable home with two parents that love each other. Instead, that baby will be bounced from two different homes. I wanted to be different and do better for my child than what I had. But that can never happen now. I had so many dreams for our future and they were all shattered when Steffy and Dad did what they did."
