So I'll be fine on that level. I'm not going to be fine fighting her, however.
I'm nowhere near the level that Amber is at in CQC.
If I'm a prodigy, she's the prodigy of prodigies.
Amber dragged me into the middle of the Dojo. She wrapped some gauze tape around her fists as I wrapped a new pair around mine.
We stood across from each other, staring each other down.
"Beat her Ken!" Goku cheered.
"Yeah!" Erica and Lily nodded.
"Root for your own daughter, dammit!" Amber growled at Goku.
Goku just teasingly grinned at her in response.
Amber rolled her eyes, turning her gaze back to me. "Ready to begin?" She asked.
I nodded. "Ready."
And in a second, she appeared in front of me.
I was not ready!
I barely dodged the fist she sent straight at my face. It grazed my cheek, leaving a slight cut on it.
How the hell did you cut me with a punch?!
The fuck?!
With a ferocious grin on her face, she sent her other fist towards me which I also was barely able to dodge. She continued her assault as I barely kept up.
She really is in another league!
As she sent another fist, I saw a slight opening in her stature. As her fist neared, I used my own arm to push it away, leaving her front open.
I sent a fist towards Amber's surprised face. I didn't realize my mistake until her face morphed into one of a successful predator.
Her other fist slammed into my stomach, making me stumble back. It felt like a truck had just rammed into my torso!
I saw Amber lift her leg, swinging a kick straight towards my head. I leaned backwards, letting her foot fly over my head.
I jumped upwards, kicking her straight in the stomach, making her slide slightly backwards. While in the air I performed a backflip, easily landing back on the floor, on my feet like a cat.
"The hell was that?" Amber asked, slightly impressed. She rubbed her stomach nonchalantly. The kick didn't do too much damage.
It seems that I've learned a small bit of aerobatics from watching Lily, who specializes in aerobatics to take down or surprise her opponent, which suited her "ninja" like fighting style and abilities.
Apparently it can also be useful in fights. I guess it should've known that when I saw Lily absolutely destroy that one guy.
"Just a little something I picked up on." I smiled.
"Ooh, this just got interesting." Amber grinned.
Amber got back into her stance, raising both of her fists up in front of her. I analyzed her stance, and thought back of how she fought.
The style she uses...it's no exaggeration to call it a full-on frontal assault. She focuses everything on hitting the opponent with strong strikes, without letting them a chance to strike back. Even when she did have an opening, it was a viscous trap that she had left on purpose.
With the way that she uses her hands, she must be ambidextrous. She uses one fist, before switching to the other. This leaves no time for the opponent to strike back.
This also makes her traps extremely dangerous, as she can use either of her hands to initiate or execute the trap.
Thinking back on it, I'm sure the only reason I was able to dodge her frontal assault was due to the fact that I have mastered the Dragon Fist Style, which is focused on dodging.
And upon seeing this, she left a small opening for me to use, only to place me into a trap and striker a devastating blow to my stomach.
I'm still feeling the after effects of that single punch.
This is why she is so dangerous. She's unmatched in close quarters combat. Quick, strong, and extremely cunning.
A complete monster.
The only time I landed a hit on her was because I surprise the both of us with an acrobatic attack that came to me on instinct.
That won't work again.
I have no chance of winning, but I doubt Amber would let me go so easily. Besides, what's the fun in giving up?
Amber rushed towards me once more, her fist raised and aimed straight towards my face. This time, instead of slightly dodging I completely ducked under the punch.
I sprung my body forward, gripping onto Amber's waist into a tackle that slammed her onto the floor. She slammed her elbow on my body, making me get off of her to avoid the pain.
Amber stood off up the ground, wiping the dust off of herself.
"Clever." She nodded. "You completely saw through my technique, and countered it. Too bad this isn't a wrestling match."
I scampered to my feet, getting ready for another assault. Instead of rushing towards me she calmly walked over and placed her hand out for a handshake.
"The name's Amber Taiyou. Nice to meet'cha." She greeted.
You're introducing yourself now?!
"Ken Kage." I replied, shaking her hand.
Amber grinned at me, wrapping an arm around my head and placing it dangerously close to two large watermelons...
"You're pretty good! But you need more strength. You got some noodle arms." She stated. "I totally won this one."
I gazed at my arms. They are pretty thin.
"Let's spar again once you get stronger!" Amber decided.
I feel like, in a strange way, I've made another friend.
I felt Erica glare at Amber in jealousy, particularly at the chest area.
Or another nuisance, depending on how you see it...
