Chained up

"Uh, we're more like acquaintance birds."

"And not even that. We're more like chained-to-each-other birds."

"Yeah. I-I mean, if... Ow!" he yells out in pain as another Toucan rips out Blu's feathers.

"What is it with this kid and the feathers?"

"We have no idea. We're having him tested."

"So, do you think you could help us get this thing off?" Jewel says motioning towards the chain.

"Lucky for you three, you know Rafael and Rafael knows everyone. Oh! Again with the eye. Okay, want me to call your mother?" He says smirking as all the kids yell "No!" and fly away. "Works every time. They're scared to death of her."

"Aah!"

"Call me for what?"

"Eva, my love. I must take this young couple and their friend to see Luiz."

"Luiz? Huh. You don't fool me for a second. You and your amigo just want to sneak off to Carnaval." Rafael sighs daydreaming about song and dance in one day. 

"Oh, Carnaval. That magical time when I met the most beautiful bird in the world." He says walking over to his wife and kissing her hand. Me and Blu awe at the affection he gave his wife so lovingly but Jewel did the opposite.

"Huh!" Eva says turning away from him.

"I still remember the song that was playing when I first laid eyes on you." "Ooh, he's good," I say turning to Blu "you should take notes." Blu just rolls his eyes. Rafael walks over to his wife bringing her into a dance as he sang "Tall and tanned and young and lovely The girl from Ipanema goes walking. Come on baby sing it!" I look at the married couple happily being the hopeless romantic I am.

"And when she passes Each one she passes go Aah!" I look happy as I see Rafael still smiling lovingly at her even though her singing is very off-key.

"Like a river of the sweetest honey."

"Ooh. I guess love is deaf, too."

"Jewel!" I say turning to her "That's not very nice, I for one thought her singing was beautiful."

"Come here," Rafael says pulling his wife into a kiss.

I say "Aww" while everyone else said "ew"

"Okay. Take them to Luiz, but hurry back."

"You are an angel. I'll miss you my juicy little mango."

"Oh, me too, my pudgy papaya."

"Don't worry ma'am I'll make sure he comes home before dinner" I say before we all leave, she laughs at this remark, she then starts yelling at her kids as we walk further away.

"I can't believe she actually let me go," Rafael says excitedly.

"So, uh how far is this Luiz?"

"Not far. 30 minutes as the crow flies."

"Uh, and how long as the crow walks?" I ask nervously

"These two birds cant fly."

"But- but they're birds."

"Not all birds fly. There are ostriches--" Blu says being interrupted by Jewel.

"You're not an ostrich."

"Well not technically, but--" Blu says being cut off once again but this time by Rafael.

"Wait, wait, wait. My friends I want to help, but to walk the whole way, it can't be done." He hears the kids ask "Wheres daddy?" Rafael's eyes widen as he says "But, get, we might as well give it a shot. Let's go quickly. No, no, d-don't look back. They sense fear."
