Chained up

~timeskip past the scene where Nigel hires monkeys because I'm lazy~

Blu and I stare at the cliff we are at and he falls back in fear but I just stand still and slowly back up with wide eyes. 

"I've changed my mind. Yeah. Uh... Uh, maybe we could find a ... a bus schedule or something." I nod in agreement.

"Come on, you're not going to back out now." he whispers to Blu "Not in front of the lady."

"Okay. Yeah. yeah sure."

"What? you may be going but there is no way I'm going"

"We are chained together and it's three against one your coming," Blu says

"But it's so high," I say looking back at the ground.

"Hey, hey, hey. Don't worry it's only high because your mind is tricking you to think that."

"Fine, fine I'll do it," I say in defeat.

"That's the spirit!" Rafael says

"You sure you're up for this?" Jewel asks me and Blu.

"Yeah. Yeah. I mean, well, it's not like we're just hurling ourselves off a mountain or something." "Actually that was pretty much my entire plan." I look at Rafael in fear as he says this and chuckle nervously. 

"Ah don't worry It's in your DNA. and if our featherless friends can do it how hard can it be?" 

"Fun, right?"

"Yeah, fun," I say 

"Okay, I need you three to get closer. Closer. Closer. Ooh. Nice, now put your wings around each other."

"What?"

"Come on amigo! it's not like she's gonna bite. Will you?"

"We'll see," Jewel says glaring at Blu, I laugh as Blu look terrified.

"Now, you flap your right-wing, and you flap your left-wing and you stay in the middle with your arms out and together you fly." 

"I feel squished."

"Yeah and this doesn't seem aerodynamically possible."

"Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay. You think too much. Flying is not what you think up here. It's what you feel in here." when Rafael said this I remembered what Nico said back when I was in the cage. I realized this is my chance to fly.

"And when you feel the rhythm of your heart, it's like samba. you fly." I watch in amazement as he falls off and starts flying. "See? It's easy."

"Easy? Easy for you to say, 'cause fr-from here, it looks really, really hard." Jewel tries to cheer up Blu.

"Hey, if you want to see Linda again, this is the only way."

"Okay. You're right." 

"Yes, I am."

"This is for Linda."

"Right."

"Keep it simple."

"Easy breezy,"

"Thrust lift drag--"

"Oh come on, let's go!" She says as she pushes me and Blu.

"Whoa, wait!"

"Come on guys you can do it!" she let out a positive reinforcement as we continued to run off a cliff.

"I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. I can't do it!" Blu yells and grabs on to something while I and Jewel are trying our best to fly. Jewel and Blu fall to the ground as I remember what Nico and Rafael say and fly with the heart. the chain on my foot was now off me because the chain was too big and the pressure of two forces made me free. I cheer happily as I fly higher and dance around in the sky forgetting about all my troubles. Rafael congratulates me and we remember Blu and Jewel we search for them and we see them on a kite thing as we fly by them I hear Rafael say "All right Blu! Your flying! sort of. Not really but do you feel it?"

"Yes. I do feel It!" Blu looks happy and I smile, that smile quickly wipes away when I see Blu and Jewel falling again.

"Not again," I say as Rafael says "Ay caramba!" Rafael and I follow them.

"You did not feel it in here."

"You think?"

"let's catch a ride to Luiz." He says as he flys on a truck I follow him.

"Hurry up guys!" I say

"Vamos! Vamos!"

"Aah! Last of the species here. Woah!"

"Move it!"

"Hey, wait... wait-wait... wait up."

"Come on, Lovebirds," I say

"You made it!"

"I would like to go Five minutes without almost getting killed. Is that too much to ask?"

"For a bird who can't fly, oh, yeah."
