xviii. Practical Exam

The day went as planned, but many students asked Lightbringer about her experience the last two and a half weeks, and her answer was the same each and every time.

Everything was fine and dandy until Todoroki showed her all the pictures he took.

"Don't worry, I have them to blackmail my father, not you."

"Pfft-!"

Then came the exams, or rather, the practical portion of the exam, the students taking the written portion that morning. The students didn't know anything, or rather, what they thought they knew, was false.

The moment the students were outside and saw all the teachers, hearts began to sink.

"You don't need to worry too much, we will have limiters, such as these weights." [L/n] added onto the end of Aizawa's initial explanation, holding up the masses of weights that all the teachers would have to wear.

While the teachers clipped on all their ankle and wrist weights, Aizawa began to announce the pairs and what teacher they'd be facing.

"Kaminari and Ashido, you'll be facing off against Villainess Lightbringer. Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, you'll be facing off against me." He finished, the students looking at their partners and the teacher they were paired with.

"We all have to go to our spots, so take this time to prepare yourselves. There is no mercy on our behalves, so take this as a serious and real as you can." With those words, all the teachers selected made their way to the zones they'd be fighting in.

And true to their word, due to the significant spike in villains, there would be no mercy.

"Hey Mina?" Kaminari prompted, the girl tilting her head to the side as they made their way to where the practical portion of the exam would take place.

"Yes?"

"Lightbringer's Quirk, Sun, it just produces masses of light and heat, so it's nothing necessarily physical, right?"

"Yeah, you're right. Why?"

"Well, I don't think we'll be able to get those cuffs on her, or get near her at all." He laughed nervously before continuing. "But my Electricity, if I can at least get somewhat close in proximity and blast it as much as I can, maybe that'll take her down!"

"That's pretty smart, coming from you."

"Hey! Does it sound like a plan or not?"

"Yeah, we just gotta find her first."

And so it began, Ashido and Kaminari searching for the exit, as well as the horrifying Pro Hero.

"I wonder what she'll be like, acting like a villain and all that." Ashido pondered, stepping through some massive pipe junctures.

"I'm not sure, but she's Lightbringer, right? So she can't be that scary. At least not herself, her Quirk is though." The boy shivered.

"Hey, does it seem hotter to you all of a sudden?" Ashido asked, both immediately beginning to run as the heat increased, and rather quickly, as if the heat itself was chasing them.

Then they saw the blinding light, seeping out from around all the pipes. While traversing through the land of pipes, the two began to feel as hot metal dripped onto their skin, burning them.

"You said you'd use your Electricity, right!?" Ashido yelled with panic, rolling under pipes and taking a right, Kaminari right behind her.

"Yes, but I can't use it around you!" He yelled back, hating the truth of it.

"You see, Denki Kaminari, Mina Ashido, I fear to inform you that your battle will be over soon, seeing as you can't fight!" The woman yelled.

The heat increased until the two felt their own clothes burning, the hero-villain speeding behind them, chasing them to a horrific extent, not slowing down one bit.
