How It All Began

Chapter 7

"Hey, eyes up." He smirks.

"Oh yeah, right." My eyes are however still glued to his abs.

He just chuckles.

After a moment of silence, he says, "I have this crazy idea."

"Shoot."

"I want us to go on a date." He says.

"What?"

"I didn't mean it like that, I mean, obviously. I want us to pretend to go on a date just to go crash Belle and Carter's date!"

Wait, really?" I give a look, a bit surprised at his suggestion.

"Yup."

"Oh my God, that's so good." I smile.

"Great. So you in, right?"

"Of course, I'm in."

Me; Hey, Zeke just gave me your number. How's the date going?

Me; Can I borrow a dress from your stuff, I promise I'll return it.

I press the 'send' button and patiently wait for her response.

So our plan is pretty simple, we'll also go on a date, at where Carter and Belle are - Eden Heights, some posh fancy, first class restaurant - and just teach them a lesson.

I needed a fancy dress and since I didn't have some now with me - not that I have one at home - Zeke gave me Belle's number so I could borrow a dress of hers and return it later.

I was actually surprised when Zeke told me we should crash their date, I mean they're siblings but Zeke said he wasn't close with Carter.

I guess that's another topic for another day.

My phone goes off and a message from Belle comes through.

Belle; Sure totally. And by the way, the date is going on fine. I have a feeling it won't end here . . .

I try my best not to barf when I send my own message,

Me; Atta girl! Hope you're wearing something sexy ;)

Belle; Of course ;) Later!

I put off my phone and shout, "She said yes."

Zeke is currently also trying to find something to wear. Where or how he's getting it, I have no idea.

"Good, we'll be leaving in 5." He shouts back.

I run to the closet room and choose the first formal dress my eyes lands on.

I apply a thin layer of makeup and tie my hair into a neat bun, not letting a single piece of hair to get out place. I put on the dress and heel and run downstairs, thankfully without falling.

Zeke is standing downstairs making a call, looking so effortlessly good in a navy tux and matching pants. Trust me, this guy can wear a trash bag and manage to pull it off

When he's done with his call, he gives me a double take, "You look..."

"Good?" I help.

"No, marvelous." He says as I get closer to him.

"Thanks, you don't look so bad yourself too." I say, blushing.

He smirks extending his right hand to me, "Shall we?"

"We shall." I put my hand into his.

"I called us an Uber, it'll be here soon." He says when we're outside.

I nod and use this opportunity to text the twins on the turn out of events.

Ell keeps on saying she knew Belle was a snake as she's now going out with my ex. Now, I'm thinking of it, she might be right.

I put off my phone and turn my attention back to Zeke.

"Is our Uber near?"

"The Uber can't get in. Too much traffic and if we waste more time, we might not be able to get there early." Zeke sighs.

"Okay, so what do we do?" I ask.

"You might not like this idea -"

"Then don't tell me."

"- but we can go on my bike." He points to his bike. It was this huge matte black motorcycle and I didn't trust neither of us on that monster.

"No way!" I shake my head. "No, never."

This is for very obvious reasons, 1. I've never been on it before. 2. I don't want to get my makeup and hair all messed up (the wind will mess it up). 3. I don't want to tear the dress or anything; it's quite form fitting. 4. I definitely don't trust Zeke to drive properly.

"We won't, unless of course you don't want us to do this." He shrugs.

I think about it. I really want to do this. How come Carter has already managed to move on and I'm still here feeling miserable. It's not fair. If I can't be happy, then he sure as hell can't be happy either!

"Fine." I mutter.

"Excuse me?" Zeke raises an eyebrow.

"Fine." I roll my eyes.

"That's more like it." He smirks.
