Kana smiled when she saw me, "A visit twice in one week, you want something?" I smiled at her and leaned down embracing her. After being denied most contact I knew Kana loved hugs. Even if my fae senses recoiled at the ash wood embedded in her, I enjoyed making the small female smile.

She understood perhaps where other people didn't. She saw in ways other people failed to even comprehend. Kana turned to Mor, "You must be The Morrigan."

I blinked, Kana had met Mor? Mor smiled and came forward with a sword at her hip. "Thank you for returning this to me." She patted the sword. I recognized it, it was the sword she gifted the human queen she was closest with.

Kana nodded and smiled when Mor hugged her. "I hope it's not rusty." Mor laughed and smiled at her, "You took very good care of it."

Kana smiled and continued chatting with Mor. She'd grown worse, I could see it in her eyes. Thesan's healers decided after they met Kana to start developing a cure for ash wood poisoning.

But even I knew they would not have the answers Kana needed fast enough. She would die a slow, painful death, and I doubted anyone could save her from it. But I would bargain almost anything to save the female that saved Feyre. Because from the moment I met her, I knew that she was a part of Night Court. Even if she never lived to see it. Kana's poison took control.

She coughed violently, Mor rushed to get water. I gripped her wrist that was clutching her chest. I set a hand on the back of her head, Kana's other hand was pressed firmly against her mouth.

Mor returned with the water and I held Kana up right as she grappled for air. Her hand fell away from her mouth, and it was splattered with her blood. I flicked my fingers and the blood disappeared.

Mor helped press the glass to her lips. Forcing Kana to drink the water. I set her back in the chair easily. She was still panting, trying to regain what the poison took from her.

Her throat was raw, "Please tell me Feyre's wedding went well." Those tears were something of pain. I said nothing, I couldn't tell her. It'd kill her, and yet I knew if I didn't Kana would die unknowing of the truth.

Because she had no one else to tell her.

I explained to her what Tamlin had been up to. She sobbed and Mor clutched her tightly, half in tears herself. "Rhys, I left her, I was supposed to protect her! Rhys I left her."

My own tears stood out too much, "I failed her too Kana." Mor looked at me and I nodded. Mor showed her the boxes of letters. Mor and Kana gripped one another so tightly. Kaana looked like she was breaking under Mor's touch.

She was so weak, and the guilt would only crush her soul further. I embraced Kana, I'd kill Tamlin. I wanted to. Yet deep down I knew the truth, Feyre would give Tamlin a fate worse than death. Kana had warned him as such.

Feyre's POV:

It was the end of the week. I almost asked to stay. Even though the silence was just as heavy here as it was in Spring Court. Rhysand said wished me luck, and told me to fight.

Useless words.

For what could a useless person do with them? Tamlin hugged me when I entered the study. I murmured, "You trashed the study." It was a wreck. Tamlin cupped my face in his hands, and I tried to recoil from him.

He only gripped me tighter and the coldness flashed. I stopped fighting him. He murmured, "I trashed half of the house. He took you, he stole you away."
