|69| I'm Fine

Your first reaction was to raise your hair and cover the side of your neck with the scar.

"Anna, what are you doing?" Toru ask her as he just wants her to stop. He can't take anymore secrecy about you. The information he already has on you is enough. He doesn't want to think badly of you nor overthink things.

"Nothing. I just..." Anna points at your neck, on the place you're covering, "How did you get that scar on your neck, (Name)?" Anna ask which has everyone looking at you. They have seen it but no one really questioned it as they thought it would be a heavy subject.

At first you had it hidden but then you stop covering it because you started to sweat around the neck during practice. But when someone did ask, you just laughed and said 'who knows'. But that's when they knew you didn't want to talk about it so they left it be. 

They just assumed it was caused by the bullies back in California. Jen did ask Jia-Li once out of curiosity which made Jia-Li go quiet which worried Jen but then she smiles and said that she was young when you got it. Jen left it be because the look in Jia-Li eyes were telling her to not question it and at that moment, Jen was a little scared of her girlfriend.

Anna thought she had you, maybe she didn't have you trapped but she knew she triggered something in you and she wanted you to let you that she knows however, the smile on her face disappears as her eyes widen when she sees you lower you hand and smile.

The way you were looking at her and smiling made her think that you're crazy. That you'Re not human.  The way you were looking at her was as if you could see right through her. That you can read her mind. That if she looks away for even a second, you would devour her. And the way you were smiling was as if you were mentally insane. That you're having fun with all of this.

"Who knows, Anna," you answer softly, "I got it when I was young," you add with a sweet smile and Anna was going to say something until Jia-Li walks towards her and she looks angry. Jia-Li has the same look in her eyes as you did and then she grabs Anna's wrist.

Jia-Li make her face her and then she leans in to whisper something into Anna's ear which made Anna pull her wrist away and step away from Jia-Li. You stand up, pack up your lunch and then stand next to your sister. 

You see, Anna made a little visit to you sister. Anna talked to her, wanting to hurt her, push down her self esteem. Her confidence and just destroy her pride. Anna even tries to blackmail her by using you because she knows how much your sister cares about you but did it work? 

By the looks of it. No. It didn't.

"Oh, and," Jia-Li says as she looks at Anna, "Before you judge me, make sure you're fucking perfect," your sister tells her as she looks down on Anna.

"I'm your senior--"

"And I'm American Bitch," Jia-Li tells her as she takes a step towards Anna but you gently grab her shoulder to stop her from doing something she'll regret. "We have no idea what respect is. Just violence so if you want to come at me and try to blackmail me or give me some bullshit, put a knife on my throat or a gun to my head. You might get a reaction but lets be honest, you talk, I talk," Jia-Li smiles, "You seem to have forgotten who my sister is and who raised me," Jia-Li says and then she looks at your friends and girlfriend, "Excuse me," she says with a smile and then walks away.

"Jia!" you say as you go after her as you wanted to know what happened.

"Anna, what was that?" Toru ask her as he stands up.

"Me? She called me a bitch--"

"What did say to Jia-Li?" Jen ask Anna as she stands up and faces Anna with a glare of anger.
