"Oh my Merlin Raven! How do you feel? Do you want me to get Pomfrey?" Pansy bombarded me with questions. She stood at the foot of my bed, next to Blaise.
On my side was Theodore and on the other was Malfoy. I was surprised to see him here.
"Christ Pansy, give me a minute," I said while lifting myself onto my elbows. Theo noticed me struggling and rushed forward to place a hand behind my shoulders and help lift me. I gave him a nod in thanks.
"You gave us a right scare there Holt. You've been out for three days." Blaise smiled warmly at me. I looked around again for Mattheo but he was nowhere to be seen. Maybe I dreamed that whole thing?
"How do you feel Rave?" Theo asked from beside me. I looked to my left, over at Draco who was looking at his feet. The boy radiated guilt.
"I'm okay, it doesn't hurt at all anymore, I just feel really weak I guess." The pain I had felt last night while talking to Mattheo was gone, convincing me more that it was just a fever dream.
I sat up fully and crossed my legs, keeping the blanket over me. I was dressed in a green nightgown, possibly not the most flattering thing, but it was comfortable.
Draco was playing with the rings on his fingers awkwardly, still yet to say something.
"Hey guys, could you give me and Draco a minute?" I asked them. They looked inbetween each other and at Draco in sympathy before nodding. Pansy came and gave me a hug, telling me she was so glad I was ok.
The three of them left the room, leaving me and Draco in awkward silence. He pulled on the sleeves of his uniform before finally speaking.
"I'm sorry Raven, this is my fault." he was chewing on his lip and still refused to meet my eyes.
I reached out a hand and grabbed his wrist, making sure it wasn't the left one.
"It's ok. I promise its okay. I'd rather it be me than you." I gave him a genuine smile, trying to rid his guilt.
His lip trembled slightly and I pulled him down to me, wrapping him in a hug like I did in the bathroom. It was more difficult, with the boy reaching over six foot, but I managed.
He pulled away but kept his hands on my shoulders and finally looked my in the eye. "You saved my life. I can never repay that enough Holt."
I grinned cheekily. "How about a lifetime supply of chocolate frogs?"
He finally cracked a smile and nodded. "A lifetime supply it is then."
In honesty, I held nothing against Draco. It was no ones fault except Potters, and trust me, he was going to get what was coming for him. I felt bad for the blonde boy, but times like these when I could get him to really smile, warmed my soul.
You could say he just got wrapped up in the moment, or that it was an emotional thing. But as he leaned in towards me, my mind went blank.
His lips were smooth on mine, but I didn't kiss back. Instead I lightly pushed back and looked down.
"Oh- god- I'm sorry." He stuttered.
I looked back up and smiled. "Its ok, don't worry about it," I reassured him. He took his hands off my shoulders and stepped back.
"No- no its not. I keep fucking everything up."
I ran his hands through his hair and took a deep breath. I let him calm down for a minute before speaking again.
"None of this was your fault Draco, and I don't mind that you kissed me. What is a problem is that you won't talk to any of us about what is going on with you."
