The night wasn't so steady, the wind was extremely weary as the rain continued to pitter-patter. Thunder bang against the window of (Y/N)'s room (where they're currently staying at); the rain never bothered them, in fact, whenever it does a book is their friend with a beverage that is still steaming hot is their forte but thunderstorms is a different story, they dislike the loud booming sound of the thunderclap, it always sound as if it struck near them which is frightening to think about, the whoosh of the strong wind makes them feel as if the trees would come tumbling down from it's strength.
Dragging themselves towards the other room they spotted Naib curled up onto a ball, for the first time in a while, they saw him look so lost and guilty over something which made their heart ache. They laid flat beside him patting his back thus getting his attention. "Cold?" They asked tucking both of them under the covers, not wanting to let him talk over what he is worrying about, advises aren't their best and in this situation, they thought not confronting it would be good for now.
"What are you doing here...? Scared of the lighting?" He questioned, his tone sounded more concern than a tease "Mhm. I don't like the sound of it. I hope you don't mind that I'll be sleeping here tonight," they admitted making themselves comfy to fall asleep, being with someone's company felt nostalgic for (Y/N) for they rarely had human interactions due to their father protecting them too much. Whenever there is a storm, back home they'd had trouble sleeping ending up with themselves exhausted for lack of sleep.
He brushed his fingers against their hair "It's fine. Goodnight," he then dozed of to the land of nod followed by (Y/N) who whispered goodnight back at him.

Both (Y/N) and Naib had stiff shoulders as they both sat next to each other, a table with bread and few candles on it were in front of them as a strange creature loom behind the glass in the room, a pair of broken curtains hang over the other side of the room though peeking inside would be useless as no light was invited within the area. When the two woke up a rather energetic fellow greeted them and explained the rules about the game, they all admit that none of them actually played the game themselves except a strange lady with parts of a bird explained it to them, odd story honestly.
At this point what is normal? The person who owns the manor, whom sent the letters won't even show themselves. (Y/N) heard snickering behind the curtains which gave them goosebumps.
"This...this is just a simple hide and seek...right?"
Darkness replaced their vision.

Gaining their sense of sight once more they found themselves alone in an unfamiliar area; sneakily making their way towards a bunch of sacs they found a machine with a yellow antenna which illuminated faintly, they started to bang the sides of the machine still careful not to bang it to hard in fear whomever is hunting would hear them.
A thundering sound of a bell echoed through out the place followed by a scream of..."Did William got caught?" They muttered to themselves only to then shake their head "No...the one chasing needs to hit us twice...I hope he got hit once but...I wanna help. He can do it himself...right? Probably," but that didn't ease their worry it only started to grow. "Hey," their worries vanished seeing the face of the mercenary, Naib. "Don't worry, just focus on these...whatever these are," he suggested. Not long after, the machine's antenna started to shake violently then William's shriek rang out accompanied by a bell "Naib are you going to rescue him?" (Y/N) queried, he nodded giving them a thumbs up.
"I can use these to get to a place faster right?" He examined the elbow pads he wore "I go near a wall right—Gah!" He then zoom away a few steps away from where he was before, his face seem determined but in his head...he thought he looked cool "Where can I get those? Man, how easy it would be if I could just use that to go closer to the kitchen in 12am..." (Y/N) sighed. The antenna then shined a light facing the machine, confused (Y/N) attempted to bang the machine only to no avail, same goes when they'd tried to tap on the keys "Is...it...done?" A voice then announced: "4 cipher machines remaining."
