"4...so this done. Huh," they placed their hands on their hips "I hope their okay..." at the corner of their eyes they spotted a puppet lurking behind a wall, curious they went to it, it looked like a young boy but it also looked eerie as cracks covered it's face "Do we also need to break this...?" They asked themselves just as they were going touch the puppet a black fog exchanged the item switched by a buff man with a broken face covered in bandages. With no time to react a stinging pain irritated their body as a bell rang out, sprinting away from, what they assume to-be, the hunter of the game it felt like their body was suddenly heavy, one more hit they'll surely would give out.
Dropping each wooden plank they see they were suddenly attacked by a puppet from behind, letting out a bloody scream the hunter picked them while they desperately tried to escape his grasp only to no avail as they were tied onto a chair. The rest of the game was hellish and painful, all of them failed to escape as they all were sent flying back to the manor; the air thicken as they flew and only loosen when they landed on the dirt ground of the manor, it felt like they were close to dying or even just plain out death. Their body felt sore when they returned, the eerie old manor loom over them as they open it's doors again "(Y/N) are you alright?" William asked, he was the first one to be sent back and that's when they found out that after you got sat down on the chair two times you'll be eliminated. Basically, you only got 3 times to redeem yourself, the third time will be your doom though. In their head his question held no value, his question was foggy as only one thought circled around their mind "Where Naib? Did he—" then a crash rang out.
What came next was a beaten and wounded up mercenary whom drawled his way to the door, his blood smeared across his face as his bandages around his arms slightly untied as red liquid also painted some of his clothes, sprinting towards the said person (Y/N)'s brows close to each other with a frown they wiped away the blood and soot around his face. "So, it's more than a simple game huh?" They whispered while he nodded as a response.

The more they played this game after days the more they argued. The only argument the two have is when Naib would rescue wounded, (Y/N) would alway insist on doing the rescue while he find a way to heal himself up. "I can do it," he said leaving the cipher machine only to be tackled by (Y/N) "You're hurt, you can decode we need to have these cipher's popping," they informed taking the lead "No. You stay I go," he fought back taking the lead from them "No, I go while you, mister, stay. End of conversation," they retorted. "No. Not end of the conversation, listen to me (Y/N)—" "I'll listen when you'll let me do the rescue," silence fell onto the two as they stared at each other, (Y/N) being stubborn over his health isn't anything new besides he understands their point on why they get so frustrated over this.
His shoulders rest as he sighed in defeat, seeing that (Y/N) smirked "Don't worry. I can do this!" Though them failing the rescue isn't his biggest concern, it's them getting hurt is what makes him sweat but he had to give some faith onto them. While time passed his hands couldn't stop shaking, his legs felt like noodles as memorise flooded back at him—horrible memories. The one's he despise to recall, the one's he wishes he could just forget yet why so when (Y/N) stands by his side the world is more brighter, not perfect but better. This feeling stir up confusion inside him, he felt this before but not in a way like this, the feeling involved into something deeper—in a level he still is yet to discover but the name of this isn't something he is curious of is how he would handle it.
(Y/N) successfully did the rescue though in the process they got hit, returning back onto his embrace (Y/N) manage to run their way back to him (nearly falling flat on their face on the process) "Be careful next time," he instructed helping them heal "Says the person who just keeps taking the hit for others," they joked. Titling their head, the cipher machine slightly shaking but clearly not finished, normally it would had 'popped' or be finished right now yet it isn't "Are you having problems decoding?" They curiously wondered facing him, his expression was something not much people see—he was agitated to answer back as he looked to his side and scratched the back of his neck. "Sort off...I can't decode alone. It's..." he paused hesitant to finish his sentence "It's difficult for me," (Y/N) sighed and as expected offered to help.
