Chapter 2 - The meeting of a new ally

~Time skip to Kamino~

Alright maybe I should've brought at least a cape with me since it was pouring down rain on the water filled planet. We had luckily landed inside one of their hangars where we were greeted by the Kaminoan staff. They were long, slim and elegant creatures with big dark eyes and a calm demeanor. Master Yoda informed them that we were there for the clone army that they had ordered from them. So that's what Master meant by 'further assistance' from Kamino. I didn't have the time to ponder more on the topic as we were instructed to follow the Kaminoan named Tuan Le. The halls we passed through were a pristine and steril white with Kaminoans and clone troopers passing through. Tuan Le told us that they had assumed that the next visit from the Jedi would be to bring the clone army with them back to the Republic. So they had already prepared the finished clones for deployment with huge star cruisers and gun ships loaded aboard. A few of the clones that rushed past us in the hallways were not wearing their helmets so I got the chance to see their faces. Well, face really since it was all the same on every single one of them. It was a tan face with a good structure and jet black hair that was cut to benefit a soldier but would also work under the helmet. When I focused back on Master Yoda I slightly heard him grumble under his breath.

"Mmh, hurry we must."

Right on que we went through a door that led out to yet another hangar where hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers in glistening white armour were marching into a star cruiser. They were all carrying a regular blaster and were walking in unison.

"The clone battalions are all ready to be put into good use Master Yoda."

Tuan Le said to Master as we stood there watching the last hundreds of soldiers march into the cruiser.

"Go to Geonosis at once, we must."

Nothing more and nothing less needed to be said and Tuan Le seemed satisfied enough with his response. She nodded and turned around to walk out the door. A trooper in a white and orange armour, slightly different than the others, walked up to me and Master Yoda.

" Commander CC-2224 reporting for duty General Yoda!"

He said with a proud voice as he saluted Master Yoda.

"Good good Commander. Commander (Y/N) this is, for a while at least."

I- what? Me? Commander?! No no that's not what I signed up for. I'm a mechanic! I looked with confused eyes at Master Yoda who only giggled and gave me a small smile. I sighed and nodded at the Commander in front of me who gave me a salute as well.

"Follow me and we can go over strategies on the bridge. I've been informed that we need to depart for Geonosis immediately."

"Yes. Correct, you are Commander."

We were led to the bridge on the star cruiser as it made its way out from the planet Kamino and into the vast space. There were clones everywhere on the cruiser as they were making the cruiser fly along with readying the equipment on board. Once the cruiser was finally out of Kaminos gravitational pull, we were flying through hyperspace on our way to Geonosis. Myself, Master Yoda and the Commander were currently standing by the holotable on the bridge that had open a map of the area of where the fight was going to take place. My hands were resting on my hips right above my equipment belt as I was looking at the plan of attack we had drawn up with the help of Commander CC-2224. I had asked him if he had a name to go with but apparently he didn't, yet. Disliking the fact that I had to use his CC number instead of a name I had made it a side mission to find him a proper name. But that would have to wait as I had a question for Master Yoda.

"Master Yoda, may I ask as to why I am suddenly a temporary Commander? I'm a mechanic not a leader."

He giggled lightly again and looked up at me.
