11. No more fooling around

"If you can make shit out of your hands I'd eat it" Beomgyu said seriously.

"You're out of your mind" Taehyun sighed and took out more ingredients before he started to work on the pancakes.

Beomgyu rested his head on his hands on the counter and watched Taehyun cook together with Kai.

"Do you need help Taehyun?" Kai asked, he still felt bad for eating it for free.

"No it's fine, stay in your seat" Taehyun replied instantly. Kai was a clumsy person and he didn't want him to create even more work.

Beomgyu's eyes never left Taehyun. He was clearly smitten with Taehyun. Now that their relationship was clearer, he wouldn't hide his affections anymore.

Taehyun managed to turn a simple pancake mix into matcha flavoured fluffy pancakes topped with whipped cream and finely cut strawberries.

"Thanks Taehyun!" Kai thanked him and dug in. "Gosh, they're so fluffy" He huffed in satisfaction and spoke with his mouth full.

Beomgyu smiled proudly and cut his pancakes. He took his usual small bites and ate slower than the other two. He liked to savour every bit of it. He was the type to go through everything thoroughly. He would always make sure to explore every bit and he sought for perfection. Therefore, he never got over his mistakes. He remembered every mistake he made, small or big. He forgave others for for their mistakes but he was always hard on himself, he never forgave himself. He knew this would just take a toll on himself eventually but he couldn't help it, it was just how he was.

On the topic of mistakes, Beomgyu might have just made his biggest mistake the previous night by agreeing to the plan. Did he regret his decision? He wasn't sure. He glanced towards Kai and Taehyun who were engaging in their own conversation. He smiled. It might be indeed the biggest mistake but it was going to be worth it. He had told RM to keep Kai out of all of this too. He didn't want to risk losing people who were close to him.

"Kai, do you want to play games?" Beomgyu asked once they were done with their breakfast. He wanted to cherish every second he got to spend with them.

"Huh? I thought we were supposed to devise a plan and stay alert..." Kai was confused. How could Beomgyu be so relaxed compared to the day before?

"We can take a break, it's not like they're be here today or tomorrow" Beomgyu shrugged and plopped down onto the sofa.

"Don't jinx it" Kai looked around, feeling scared.

"Don't wor-"

Beomgyu's phone rang, cutting him off. Everyone gulped and feared for the worst as the whole room fell silent. The timing was way too suspicious. 

Beomgyu reached out to his phone and noticed that it was Soobin. He sighed in relief.

"Yes?" Beomgyu picked it up and answered.

"Beomgyu-ah! Haruna won't stop whining... She wants to be with you, is it possible for you come and take her?"

Beomgyu paused. Right, Soobin still doesn't know that he was an Inaxus and that he was supposed to be hiding now.

"I will do it" Kai volunteered and looked at Beomgyu. "They still don't know how I look like" he whispered. Beomgyu contemplated. It wasn't safe for Haruna to be with them.

"Beomgyu oppa! Please?" Beomgyu could hear Haruna plead. He immediately gave in after hearing her voice.

"Alright, Kai will pick you up alright? Don't give Soobin hyung a headache" Beomgyu replied.
