"Where's the cake, Sunghoon?!" Jungwon panickily asks his friend.

Yuri raised an eyebrow once she heard the mention of a cake. She was not in any way aware that there was a birthday cake. She tapped Jake's shoulder who stood right next to her, busily texting someone on his phone. He glanced over at her direction to ask her what the matter was.

"What's with the cake? You bought Jay a cake?" She asked him to which he replies with a nod. Sunoo returned from his car with a box in his hands. They placed it on the table and opened it.

It was a beautifully decorated vanilla cake. On top of the cake, the words 'Happy Birthday Jongseong' were written. They placed a candle and lit it up. "Who's going to hold the cake?" Ni-ki asked.

All their eyes fell at Yuri who was busy eyeing the cake. When she realized what their stares meant, she backed away. She could barely trust herself, how can they fully trust her with a cake they bought for their friend? For all she know she may drop it because of her nervousness.

"No no. I might drop it." Yuri said, shaking her head.

"It's fine Yuri, it isn't that heavy don't worry." Heeseung assured her. Everyone looked at her as if they were pleading her to just do it. Sighing in defeat because it was one versus six battle, she grabbed the cake where Jungwon lit up the candle while she was holding it.

She was cursing in her head because of how nervous she was while holding the cake. Heeseung really got her when he said the cake wasn't heavy because from the way her arm is feeling, it was far from the phrase 'it isn't that heavy.' They hid Yuri behind them when they saw Jay from afar making his way back.

Please walk faster, Jay. My arm is not doing very good.

"Why are you all acting weird?" She heard Jay asked them. They suddenly sang happy birthday and moved away to show the cake to him. Yuri sang along which made Jay look away to hide the blush appearing on his face.

"Blow your cake now, my arm is dying here." She said once they were all done singing. Everyone laughed except for Yuri who meant every word she said. He blows the candle and grabs the cake from her. It felt like her arms could finally breathe once the cake was gone from her hold.

"You really didn't have to do all of this." Jay frowned at his friends.

Sunghoon scoffs. "We've been best friend for years, this is the least we could do plus we really enjoyed the farm. This is our payment to you."

She couldn't help but smile after hearing what Sunghoon said. She really admired how genuine their friendship were, it was really adorable to watch them all get embarrassed after such a sentimental moment. After putting the cake back in the box, it was finally time for all of them to leave the place.

They all left, pair by pair until it was only Jay and Yuri remaining. "Yuri, I have a question." Jay says while they made their way back to his car. "Why is it that you're always so worried about being a bother to me even though I've always told you I don't mind?"

She stopped once she heard his question. Jay faced her, waiting for her reply. "Because..." She paused for a while. No Yuri, you can tell him. You can tell Jay.  "Because I've been told once that I only think about myself."

"You only think about yourself! Don't you think I'm not busy? Don't you think I have other things to worry about?!"

After hearing those words escape from the mouth of someone she trusted so much, it stuck to her head to the point she couldn't even demand time for others out of fear that she's disturbing them. That's why whenever Jay would offer to pick her up, bring her home, or simply use his time for her, she's always afraid. She's afraid that when the time comes, Jay would say the exact same thing to her.

Jay's eyes widened when he heard her reason. "Yuri-"

"I was afraid that someday you'll say those words to me too which scares me. I don't want to ever hear those words again. It makes me feel like a horrible person even more." She admits to him.

She was caught by surprise when he grabs her arms and made her look at him. "Yuri, I will never say those words to you. I have never once thought that you were wasting my time or that you only think of yourself." He told her, trying not to raise his voice so he wouldn't scare her. "I offered all those things to you, if you think about it, I should be the one worrying if I'm wasting your time."

She forced a smile because of how sweet his words were. "I trusted that person too. Look where that got me."

Jay lets go of both her arms and just stood in front of her. "It doesn't matter how much you trust me because no matter what happens, not once will I ever consider the time we spend together a waste of time."

Yuri wanted to cry at that moment because for so long she wondered if she really was as selfish as Wooyoung said she was.

After a month of questioning her worth, she finally felt like she was worth people's time and efforts.
