Without waiting for an answer, she carefully placed the guitar and his music notebooks inside its case.
Yoongi stared at her for a moment, a strange warmth blooming in his chest. She hadn’t always been so supportive of his passion, but now that he was leaving, it seemed like she wanted him to hold onto the things that made him happy.
He stood up from his bed and pulled her into a sudden hug.
His mother stilled for a second before wrapping her arms around him. "What’s wrong?" she asked, surprised by his rare show of affection.
"Thank you," he whispered.
And just like that, she understood.
---
"Are you sure this is what you want?" the hairstylist asked, hesitant as she ran her fingers through his hair.
Taehyung barely looked up from the magazine he was flipping through. "If it’s what I asked for, then why are you questioning me?" he replied, voice laced with amusement.
The stylist flinched. "I’m sorry, sir," she murmured, quickly returning to her work.
"Taehyung, you should really learn to be less of a sarcastic brat," a familiar voice called from behind him.
Taehyung finally glanced up, meeting his best friend’s gaze through the mirror.
With a slow, mischievous smile, his whole aura shifted. "Oh? But you love me like this, don’t you?"
The other boy rolled his eyes, unable to stay annoyed. "You and that damn smile... You could kill someone with all this charm."
Taehyung laughed, shaking his head before turning back to his magazine.
---
"Jimin, are you sure you don’t want to move in with your friends?"
The boy shook his head. "No, I’ll go with them, but I want my own space, Mom."
"Alright then," his mother sighed. "I’ll ask your father to find you a good apartment near your school."
Jimin’s face lit up instantly. "Thank you!" He shot up from his seat excitedly.
His mother chuckled. "Will you sit down?"
"Sorry!" He sat back down, still grinning.
"Now, eat your food properly," she chided.
Jimin nodded, taking a bite before flashing a thumbs-up to their maid. "This is really good, Mila!"
The woman smiled, bowing politely.
His mother rolled her eyes. "Stop talking and eat."

"That’s everything," Seokjin sighed, looking around his newly arranged space.
"Thanks for the help."
"No worries, hyung," the younger boy grinned. "I’m always here if you need anything."
Seokjin smiled in appreciation. "If you ever decide to come to this university, you can live with me."
"Thanks, hyung, but… I don’t think I’ll be coming here."
Seokjin raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Why not?"
"I want to study abroad."
Seokjin blinked, then clapped his hands together. "That’s amazing! Good luck! But don’t you dare forget about me, got it?"
The younger boy nodded eagerly.
His gaze then dropped to Seokjin’s left hand, where a thin black line circled his pinky—his soulmate mark.
"You still haven’t found them, have you?" he asked quietly.
Seokjin exhaled, lifting his hand to study the mark that remained unchanged.
"No… not yet," he admitted, forcing a laugh. "I’m already 24, but… maybe soon."
Soulmates were destined, or so they said. But as time passed, Seokjin had begun to let go of the dream, shifting his focus to his own life instead.
"Don’t worry, hyung. You’ll find them soon."
Seokjin smiled at his younger brother’s reassurance, hoping—just maybe—it was true.

"Jungkook! Are you ready?"
"Yes, Dad!"
"Come downstairs, we’re heading out to eat!"
"Okay!"
Jungkook dashed down the stairs, nearly running into his mother’s outstretched hand.
"Careful," she scolded gently.
"Mom, I’m fine," he groaned, slipping on his shoes as fast as he could.
"Just don’t run down the stairs—you’ll get hurt."
"Mom, I’m not a kid anymore."
"You’ll always be my baby," she sighed dramatically, pretending to wipe away tears.
Jungkook rolled his eyes but took her hand, guiding her outside like the gentleman he was.
His eyes flickered to her left hand, where her soulmate mark had long since turned red.
As he settled into the car, he glanced at his own hand.
Still black.
But one day, it would change.
And when that day came… he would finally meet the one meant for him.
But fate had its own plans.
Because sometimes… a soulmate wasn’t just one person.
