'Gem?' I questioned the manor does display various valuable décor such as paintings and vases but a gem? There is absolutely zero chance that my father will leave behind such priceless item, if there is one.
"You must be mistaken" I stood straight observing the thief behind the glass oddly enough I don't feel threatened. He casually sat on the floor facing me with a bright expression. "Though I would not pardon you for trespassing this territory"
"Nope! I truly saw a gem." He scratched his neck chuckling. He leaned back and used his hands and arms as a support for balance.
"Which gemstone is it?" I asked dubiously yet curiosity sparked.
'Father left something?'.
"Well I don't know the name yet but I could tell you what it looked like- hues of blue, exquisite and priceless it has scratches from being neglected, kind of dull but it just needs a little sun and air from being contained in its box" He ticked his fingers as he listed its appearance.
I feel conflicted whether to flung my knife towards his direction or probe information in order to spite my father for the 17 years of ceaseless endeavor, regardless of that I got abandoned.
"Hmm.. a blue diamond perhaps?" I frowned diamonds are not rare in the Khun family however I have not caught sight of a blue diamond in gatherings where the so called wives flaunt their extravagant jewelries. I pulled a chair from the wall and placed it directly in front of him, glass door dividing us. Noticing that I wanted to talk he gave me a thumbs up and a cheeky smile.
"Partners in crime?" He asked, innocent eyes glittered under the moonlight. I shivered in disgust Maria said something similar.
"Do not misunderstand thief I-"
"Calling me a thief would not help us Mr. Khun" He chuckled ignoring the frigid glare I sent for cutting me off. "Call me v-"
"25th Baam" I cut him off smirking, petty I know "I have no interest in being familiar with you" Crossing my arms I continued to intimidate him little to no effect can be seen as he hummed happily.
"Then this Baam shall take his leave." He dusted off his pants, bowed sloppily and walked towards the railings he stood on top glancing back at me and waved. "See you later!!" With that he jumped and disappeared once again.
Tossing myself to bed I rewind the conversation that occurred, I smacked myself for casually talking to a stranger who could potentially be sent by my blood relatives or someone who is out for revenge. Possibilities are endless yet despite the warning flags raising in every corner of my cerebrum my innards told me otherwise.
...A week later...
The night is filled with condensed vapor suspended mid air blurring out my field of vision. Its a nightly occurrence for me to spend time out the balcony staring at the scene.
"What if someone hurls a knife at you?" That familiar voice broke the deafening silence motioning the front gate yards away.
"At this distance, it is not possible unless you have a mortar for arms" I continued to stare at the scene not bothering to turn and greet Baam.
"What if I pierce you right now?" He teased.
"You had your chance" I turned and icily glared at him, he leaned on the glass door. I felt his presence when I walked out the door a while ago he tried to erase it but of course I noticed, reminding you I am a Son of Khun. If he wanted me dead he could have easily killed me on the spot but he did not. "State your business Baam" I commanded.
