12. Let's play a game

"Beomgyu oppa, what are you then?" Haruna asked.

"A thief."

"..."

"What."

Everyone shook their head. Haruna turned back around and chanted again.

"What are you, Beomgyu oppa?" Haruna asked him yet again while tilting her head in confusion.

"My dad." Beomgyu replied with confidence.

"That's not a job" Taehyun pointed out.

"Excuse me? Are you insulting my dad? He's exceptional. He is a job himself. Which CEO is a mafia boss at the same time? Only my dad. He created a whole new occupation." Beomgyu argued and tried to reason.

"He's just moonlighting. They're two separate jobs." Taehyun rolled his eyes. "Haruna, get him."

Beomgyu sulked as he made his way to Haruna held Beomgyu's hand and looked up at him, giggling.

"Are you sure he's a law student and the future head of the mafia?" Kai whispered to Taehyun.

"He's dumb but smart at the same time. If that makes any sense. He's capable so don't worry" Taehyun reassured Kai.

"무궁화 꽃 이 피었 습니다 !" Haruna whipped her head around.

Both Taehyun and Kai stayed motionless in their poses. Taehyun as a chef and Kai as a musician. Taehyun was really close to Haruna and Beomgyu now. Just a few more steps and he would be able to reach them.

"Oh! My prince had come to save me!" Beomgyu dramatically said as he wiped his non existent tears away and clutched his chest.

"Alright, I've decided not to save you, Kai you do it" Taehyun said immediately.

"I'm straight" Kai replied.

"That has nothing to do-"

"Damn, both my boyfriend and best friend don't want me."

"Taehyun oppa you moved!" Haruna pointed to Taehyun's hand.

Taehyun sighed and walked towards them. He held Beomgyu's hand and eyed Kai. "You better hurry up."

Kai gulped. Taehyun was still scary to him sometimes. 

"무궁화 꼬찌 피-" Haruna paused when he felt a tap on the shoulder. 

"Run!" Beomgyu let go of both Haruna's and Taehyun's hands and ran away. Taehyun and Kai did the same with Haruna chasing after all of them. 

Kai tripped over nothing midway and fell flat onto the floor. Haruna jumped onto him and hugged him tightly. 

"Caught you! I win!" She yelled happily and laughed. 

Kai sighed in defeat. 

"We are actually really bad at games" Beomgyu remarked. "So Haruna, is there anything that you want us to do for you?" 

"Can we have desserts for lunch?" She looked up at Taehyun with puppy eyes. 

"I don't think tha-"

"Pwease?" Haruna tugged his pants and continued to look at him with those sparkling big eyes of hers.

"I-" Taehyun looked away and sighed, giving in. "Alright. What do you want to eat?"

"Cake!" Haruna grinned as she said so. It was a vague answer which was very much expected. She had yet to experience and taste different desserts. Taehyun and Beomgyu had let her taste a slice of strawberry shortcake once and that was it.
