These Are The Days Of Our Lives - Maylor (platonic)

"Ollie, give those back to Roger, please."

Olivia smiled and held out the glasses with a firm grip, almost in a teasing way.
-

"She's cheeky! Are you a cheeky baby, Ollie?" The drummer asked, putting the shades back on.

"She's not that cheeky. Just clever. Right, Olivia?"

Olivia made cooing noises of agreement, trying to tug at Roger's beard.

Roger gently took the little hands off of his beard, standing a little bit away from the toddler.

His youngest was seventeen now, so he wasn't used to facial hair pulling anymore.
--

"Rah Rah! Uppy." The baby said and leaned over to him.

"You want me to hold you? Are you sure?"

"Yeah yeah yeah!"

Roger gently took the girl from his friend's arms as he went inside, luckily, she didn't mess with his face this time.
-

Holding Olivia made Roger feel a sense of nostalgia, making him reminisce on the days when his kids were this little.

"You're pretty cute, you know. Reminds me of Lola." He smiled, feeling rather emotional.

"She has a way of doing that," The guitarist chimed in. "Stealing your heart with just her personality."

Roger nodded, starting to miss the feeling of joy that babies often bring. But there's no use in thinking back on what that was like.

It's better to be in the moment -- Brian and Roger had eventually both learnt that.
-

"How long do you have her for?"

"A few hours, at most."

Olivia managed to safely escape Roger's arms and she walked and crawled down the steps to a room with memorabilia.

Brian noticed Olivia was gone and he looked around, finding that she was heading for the basement.

"Hang on, Ollie. We're coming with you." Brian said and quickly followed behind, making sure she could handle stairs.
-

The toddler proudly and successfully had gone to the basement, and she was fascinated by the things in there.

She pointed to some pictures, interested by one of Freddie.

Brian picked up Olivia, holding her closer to the picture so she could see better.

"That's a picture of a very special man named Freddie Mercury. He was amazing." The curly haired man smiled fondly.

-
"Fed? Feddie! Feddie!" Olivia figured out, not knowing who the singer was, she called for him nonetheless.

"Oh, um.. He's not here anymore physically, but he's here in spirit. You might be able to feel his presence." The guitarist said quietly.

Olivia waved her arms out and stared at the wall, though Queen didn't know that she could actually see Freddie.

The one-year-old happily babbled to the wall, or rather, the late singer, and she looked very content and calm.
-

Brian kept holding her where she was talking, looking interested that she was speaking to seemingly nothing.

"Do you think she sees him, Rog?"

"That must be why she's still staring and talking, Brian."

Brian felt a chill go down his spine, as if the spirit's hand had touched his back.
