"Grab that umbrella discreetly," the triangle guard demanded.
[Name] instantly obliged and did as told, glancing around the room to see the rest of the guards were too caught up in either shooting or intensely staring at those who furiously licked their honeycomb. She picked up her shattered honeycomb and reached her hand over the puddle of red liquid, replacing the man's perfectly-cut umbrella with her own. She scrambled to her feet, her lightheadedness forced her to stagger a little bit, but she quickly regained her composure and waited for him to continue.
"Player 214, pass."
She blinked owlishly, her mind trying to process what just happened.
He saved me?
"Say you need to use the restroom," his voice was lowered into a whisper.
She nodded and gulped nervously. "Can I.. can I use the bathroom?"
"Follow me," he said aloud, swiftly turning on his heel and [Name] almost clumsily tripped as she struggled to keep up with his fast-paced walking. They entered the pastel-colored room. The area is beyond beautiful, yet everytime she enters it, it brings a nauseating feeling that eats her up inside and out.
Many questions swarmed her mind in fragmented pieces. Her honeycomb broke, but she's alive? She witnessed so many others die instantly over their broken honeycombs, yet she's still alive. He killed someone who obviously passed. . . just so she can win.
This has to be a violation of some sort of rule. . .
She bit back her tongue from voicing her thoughts, keeping her eyes fixated on her feet as she walked behind him silently.
The overbearing silence that infiltrated between her and guard become too unnerving to her. She cleared her throat, hesitantly glancing up at his back. "Why did you save me..?" her tone was nothing but a whisper as they walked up the numerous stairs. There were many other players who beat the timer being escorted as well, but not to the same place as her.
After another couple seconds of nerve-racking stillness, the guard finally spoke, "do you recall what you said to me?"
"Uh.." [Name]'s eyes furrowed, obvious confusion sprawled across the features on her face. She pondered carefully over his choice of words before her face lit up at the recollection. "You.. you're the one who took Pickpocket, Number 212 and I to the bathroom, aren't you?" his quietness gave her the answer. "I recall saying quite a lot of things to you then. So, care to tell me which creed of mine you seem to hold so dearly to your heart?"
She heard the guard lightly scoff at her small, but taunting chide. He glanced over his shoulder and looked at her. "You told me that I seem to have no respect for woman. Do you remember that?"
"Mhm," she hummed with a small nod as they made it to the bathroom, before instantly flinching and widening her eyes at the overbearing sound of gunfire unleashing in the room she was just in. She nervously looked at the guard's back, biting the insides of her cheeks to keep herself from panicking. "Why is that important?"
He stopped right in front of the door, opening it and motioning for her to step inside. [Name] glanced at him one more time before stepping into the bathroom and he closed the door behind her, positioning himself in front of the other side of it. "These cameras don't have audio," he stated from the other side of the door, causing [Name] to perk up at his voice. "Stay in there for five minutes."
"Okay. . ." [Name] unsurely replied, glancing around the bathroom. She had no idea what to do, she didn't need to use the toilet.. so basically the only thing she was able to do is ruled out. She huffed before taking a seat in front of the door, her back pressed against it as she stared at the empty restroom.
