Chapter 9

Walking into the woods, I heard humans talking. Who's here? I turn my head to the direction the voice was coming and saw a guy with his group of friends, sitting at the place I slept. Why were they there? Great, now I can't sleep there. I turn around and walk away, the leaves crunching whenever I put my foot down on the ground.

"Skylar!" Someone shouted.

Startled I turn around and saw William. We weren't far from each other and he's holding a cigarette with his right hand. He's smoking? Stupid question, Skylar. He's holding a cigarette and you're asking that question. 

"Hey, William. What're you doing here?" I asked.

"Just chilling with Jacob and the others." He walked closer to me.

Jacob? Who da'fuck is that?

"Jacob?" I asked him in a more polite way.

"The guy that was beside me that day, at the mall." He waved his cigarette around as he explain.

"Oh.. That guy." I respond.

He put the cigarette to his mouth and suck it. He let go of the cigarette and exhaled smoke at my face. I coughed and wave a hand in front of my face.

"Are you dumb or dumb?" I glare at him.

He chuckled and and swung an arm over my shoulder.

"I was wondering, what do you do here? Do you come here with guys, nerd?" He said.

"No, In fact I-" I stopped mid-sentence when I realized what he said.

I started slapping his shoulder repeatedly while he chuckled. He's so dirty minded! Ew! I bet he comes to the woods and hook up with sluts. I stop hitting him and cross my arm over my shoulder, shivering. He took a last puff from his cigarette and threw it to the ground, stomping on it.

"Cold?" He asked me.

I look at him with the 'what-do-you-think' look.

"Okay, okay. I'll warm you up." He scooted closer to me and hug me.

I can't help but hug him back. He was so warm, I wish I could cuddle with him but that would be weird. I mean, a girl and boy cuddling together and they're no even in a relationship. It's like friends with benefits.

"You can let go now." He suggested.

"No." I mumbled in to his chest.

I heard him sigh and the next thing I know, we were falling to the ground. We landed with a thud. What? I let go of him and pushed my hand my hands, making me tower over him. He smirked at me. 

"Woahkay! Let's get up!" I pushed myself off the ground. 

I dusted myself and extended a hand towards William, wanting to help him get on his feet. But, instead of me pulling him up, he pulls me down. I grunted when I land on the cold, snowy floor.

"Thanks." I rolled my eyes and sit up.

A hand grab my shoulder and pull me back down. Gosh, I think I'm gonna get abs if he does that again. I land on the ground, again. Okay, that was already tiring. I should just stay on the ground. I lay there, on the ground, thinking what's happening to my life right now. I'm still an outcast, nothing's change and let's see.. I've been ignoring my sister, nothing's change and I've been tutoring Tyler. Wait, shit! I quickly sat up and got onto my feet. I grab my bag and run off. I bet William thinks I'm crazy or something.

"Bye, William! See you next time!" I shouted while running.

I took out my phone and search for Tyler's number. I didn't save his number but let's hope I'm still having his number on the night he called me. I scroll and scroll while I ran as if zombies were chasing me. Aha! There it is! I tap on the number and it started calling.

"Hello?" Tyler's sleepy voice answered after several rings.

His sleepy voice was heavenly sexy. Ah! Snap out of it, Skylar. I stop running. When I stop running I almost slip on the slippery pavement. Thank god I didn't fall on my but or else the frozen pavement will crack. 

"Hey, Tyler. Tutoring today?" I asked as I held my heart from the shock I got when I almost fall.

"Who's that?" A girl voiced said through the phone.

"Uhh.. No. I'm kinda busy." He respond.

Are you serious? I ran through the woods and almost slip and he canceled the tutoring without telling me. Wait, who the fuck is that girl, it sounded like Rebecca. Ew! Are they..? Oh gosh! No, no, no.

"Oh, okay. What about tomorrow?" I ignored the processing on my mind.

"Yea, okay." He said and hang up.

That was disgusting. I just spoke to a guy that had sex with my sister. My twin. Another part of me. Me. Ahh! I rubbed my arms roughly. Okay, okay chill, Skylar. Let's pretend this didn't happen and go home. And so I did, I started walking back home.
