Though I cannot help think in spite of being part of Rajvansh family he intentionally maintains a clear distance with his parents. He consider them his own but would never freely express his feelings.

"How may I help you Ma'am?"

The monotonic question of male receptionist cut off my inner thoughts, as he curiously eyed me. Or few of the staff members passing by. It was not officially open but one or two interns were assigned to get hang of it, mostly they were his juniors that shown interest to participate in learning. Others were workers finalizing the last touches to the interiors.

I can't blame them amidst their formal wear I was in dark maroon saree, my makeup was light still the traditional bridal bangles, choker long earrings and most attention seeking ruby red vermillion filled in the partition of my hair was dead giveaway. At least I could skip wearing high heels as mom strictly instructed me to dress in vibrant colors.

My look figuratively declaring, "I was a new bride." I internally sighed, get used to it Meera.

Ignoring the number of curious glances on me, I tried to answer confidently  "Can you please instruct the direction to Arjun's cabin. I'm his wife Meera Arjun Rajvansh."

I have to take a moment here, not only for other onlookers to digest the information but for me to settle the burst of emotions flooded inside. 'Meera Arjun Rajvansh,' goosebumps raised to the feel of it. In a shocked daze he answered the directions, thanking him quietly I followed the directions. Obviously, it was through the elevator to the top floor. Typical boss floor.

The elevator ride was not long, opening to the isolated floor with only two cabins. Taking short steps on the tiled floor, levelling my breathing I reached the cabin at the end to the left side of the floor. A smile stretched my lips relaxing my nerves, while noting the name plate would be printed with Advocate Arjun on glossed plate,  soon next to the wall.

No other embellishments stressing his ownership or anything. He refused it already, the most praise worthy part was the name of this law firm. RY associates. Rani and Yamini- honoring both mothers together.

My husband was seriously going to be exception in crowd. I should get accustomed to freely addressing him as my husband, the feeling is jubilant. It was slightly embarrassing when I'd still stutter sometimes in front of people.

I forgot to knock the door before pushing it inside, all the practiced breathing went out of the window as his amber eyes locked with mine.

'It'd be stupid to say I had wrongly entered his cabin and run out from here, isn't it?'

The grip on the handle tightened, I let it close behind me with a small thud. His face brightened though his eyes were a different story. He was sitting on the large black desk chair, the décor contrasting with minimalistic furniture and shelves spread accordingly giving a proper space between his desk and couch area.

Dressed in formal white dress shirt, black slacks and coat, I surely saw him in morning with droopy eyes wishing him to have a safe day. But his presence in his own space made him look more commanding, confident.

"Come here,"

It were simple words but the way his eyes were leisurely moving as I walked towards him made my steps falter along with my breathing. The appreciation for my look, with many sinful promises in his eyes made me take longer to reach him.

He frowned slightly as I stood opposite of him, he gave a single jerk of his chin to round the table. My eyes widened guessing if he, the intention were clear as he spread his legs wider.

It was seriously a task to oblige him though the look in his eyes willed my body. Just few moments before, I was practicing to accept he is my husband so why second thoughts now? I'd have gladly accepted, if he took the lead by pulling me in his lap by himself.
