fourteen: whos that

"We were going to go for a walk" she says gesturing to her and the man and then toward the exit

"at 9pm? and whos that beside you?" I ask trying to not show the jealousy that is causing my insides to turn

"I am Aaron nice to meet you Mr Stark" Aaron says approaching me and offering his hand I look down at it before looking over at y/n unimpressed she looks away and is obviously feeling uncomfortable as she is shifting her weight from one foot to the other

*RING RING* y/ns phone rings I assume it would Fury as he also would have been notified of y/n's attempt to leave. She sighs before moving away from us and answering the call

"so how do you know y/n" I ask breaking the awkward silence 

"I met her at the café  I work at down the road, we have been talking since" he replies looking over at y/n before smirking making me gag

"..right expensive car for a barista" I say nodding my head over to the car outside to which he scratches his head and laughs awkwardly

"yeah, listen why don't you just let me and y/n go on our walk?" he says meeting my glare

"look I don't know who you think you are but I can't let you leave with y/n" I say which is some what true I can't let her leave because Fury will kill me if anything happened to her so will Nat, Wanda, Pietro, Thor and pretty much all of the avengers.

But also I don't trust this guy and I want to protect her. I know I have been avoiding her but I just don't know how to act around her. I really like her she is smart, witty, compassionate and attractive. But she probably did not even notice I was avoiding her...

The sound of y/n yelling takes me out of my thoughts as I look over to Aaron who is already looking over at y/n looking her up and down and smirking. Making me annoyed 

"Uuhh DAD I AM NOT A CHILD, No don't come here I will go back inside JESUS yes I am fine" "love you too" she sighs before storming over to us and glances between Aaron and me as we are glaring at each other.

"I'm sorry Aaron it is getting late I don't know what I was thinking dragging you out here. I will see you later" y/n tells Aaron who looks disappointed but nods before kissing her cheek and walking out sending me a wink as he leaves.

I turn my attention back to y/n who begins to walk back to the elevator where I catch up to her

"y/n you alright? I ask her worried 

"ha he speaks" she says irritated I look away ashamed she noticed

"listen y-" I begin

"no Tony I don't want to talk ok I am tired and annoyed" She says moving toward the side of the elevator I close my mouth and leave her alone

"sorry for disturbing you I assume Jarvis alerted you and dad that I left my room. Smart but frustrating" she laughs finally looking at me

"its fine I was just in my lab anyway, but the alert system is just until we sort out hydra" I say approaching her 

"mm I still think its a bit unnecessary"

"your safety is very important to us, to me" I say looking away

"who is Aaron" I ask her wanting her answer

"a guy I met who started working at my favorite café down the road" she replied 

"do you like him" I ask afraid of her answer

"have not decided yet" she says looking into my eyes searching for something. I sign and look away 

DING

we made it to her floor

"Good night Tony, go to bed not back to your lab" she says before pecking me on the cheek and walking out

"good night y/n" I say as the elevator doors close

I go to bed like she suggested and for the first time all week I slept
