Asha Mitchell is all about her education and the next box to check off her list of goals. She never allows anyone to steer her from her path or take her eyes off the prize. She's a big time lover who also knows how to choose herself or play the game...
Undesirable for us to be apart, never would've made it this far because you know you got the keys to my heart. They continued to dance to the song, Asha resting her chin on his shoulder. She connected eyes with her grandmother who gave her a soft knowing smile that made her playfully roll her eyes. If anyone was going to catch on to any small thing that may happen between her and Sanchez it would be grandma. Her eyes were always open.
"You came and breathed new life into this lonely heart of mine. You threw out the lifeline just in the nick of time." Sanchez lowly sung in her ear, causing her to relax a little more.
Asha watched her father cross the floor and tap on Sanchez's shoulder. Sanchez turned his head to see who was interrupting their dance then looked at Asha when Ashton asked to take his place. She huffed but said nothing causing Sanchez to step back and let them have their moment together. The song faded into another slow jam.
"You look beautiful." Ashton stepped in Sanchez's place.
"Thanks."
"I don't know if you've been opening my packages—"
"Not really."
"Well, I wanted to tell you face to face anyway...I'm sorry. For hurting your mom the way I did, for exposing you to it and not expecting you to want answers for it. You deserved an explanation from me and it shouldn't have taken this long for me to say this to you. To realize where I was wrong. I apologize for damaging our relationship and making it seem like you didn't deserve this apology. I'm sorry Dula. I truly am." he kissed her head as she swayed with him, tears in her eyes.
Finally!
"You willing to give me another chance to fix this? I miss my babygirl." she nodded. He kissed her head again. "I love you."
"I love you too." she sniffed and closed her eyes, basking in the tight hold of her father. She felt like she could finally breathe while in the same room as him. No matter how much she pushed herself to be over the situation and to pull away, the longing for him was still in her heart.
It had finally been put to rest.

The fun was shut down around 11pm and for the first time in a long time, Asha was one of the people actually ready to hit the hay. With a little drank in her system she would still be ready to party and shake her ass but not tonight. She wanted to get back to her grandparents' house and cuddle with the load of pillows her grandmother kept in the guest room. She picked her heels up from the floor along with her small clutch and joined the line of people filing out the building.
"Have y'all seen Teddy?" Asha looked around, having to push her hair from her face to see. Her contacts started to bother her so she had taken them out and didn't have 20/20 vision at the moment.
"Who?" Victoria asked over her shoulder since she and Bahzeek where right in front of Asha.
