I stared at him, frozen. "What's wrong?" I asked as I brought my hand down from my face. "Who did this to you." He growled, walking towards me and resting his hand on my shoulder.
"My nose?" I asked, he nodded, tightening his grip on my shoulder a bit. "It's fine, I mean-" "Tell me who did this." He demanded, his grip tightening more.
"Springtrap it's-" "Y-Y/nN." He made his voice glitchy as his grip tightened even more, sending pain through my body. I brought my hand up to my shoulder and tried pushing his hand away. "Spring you're hurting me." I whimpered, pushing his hand even more. The purple in his eyes faltered as he took his hand off my shoulder.
Springtrap sighed and sat on the ground in front of me. "Just tell me who did it.." He mumbled as he looked up at me. "I don't know who she was," I sighed. "She had platinum blond hair that went to her shoulders, green eyes, and an Australian accent. She was kinda short and she was wearing clothes that looked like she was about to go to a club." I described, watching as his eyes faded from purple back to silver then back. He nodded a bit and looked down at my shoes, messing with the strings again.
It was silent for a while, the only sounds being my breathing and occasional ventilation reboot and Springtrap clanking quietly as he moved.
"Can I ask you something?" Springtrap asked. "What's up?" I titled my head to the right as I looked down at him. "What year is it?" Springtrap asked once more. "2021." I smiled. Springtrap sighed as he looked down at my feet again. "30 years.." He mumbled. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I've been locked in that room for 30 years..." Springtrap whispered, his voice wavering. It sounded like he was going to cry.. could he cry?
"Oh, Spring.." I sighed as I slid out of my chair and knelt in front of him, resting my hand on his. "I'm so sorry.." I whispered, leaning down a bit so I could look him in the eye. Springtrap's eyes had faded completely back to silver and were now very dim and washed out. His eyes flicked to mine and he stared at me for a while before gently grabbing me and bringing me into his lap.
"I hope this is okay.." Springtrap mumbled as he wrapped his arms around me. "I haven't had a hug in a while.."
Ignoring the terrible smell coming off of him, I leaned into his chest and hugged back as best I could.
"Thank you..." Springtrap mumbled after about 20 minutes. "For what?" I asked. "For helping me see I'm still somewhat human." He whispered. "What do you mean?" I asked. Springtrap sighed before answering, "My humanity didn't end when I died, it dissolved much before then. But you helped me see I can still care for someone."
I sat quietly for a moment, processing what he had said. Before he died? What does that mean? I decided not to push it and just nodded into his chest, squeezing him a bit. I felt some pressure around my shoulders, but only for a moment. I assumed that was Springtrap squeezing me back without killing me.
Our hugging ended when the ventilation started to go off. I tried to stand up but Springtrap hummed and held me closer to him. "You'll have a lifeless corpse in your arms if you don't let me fix this." I chuckled. Spring sided and moved his arms from around me. I patted his chest and stood, pressing reboot all just in case.
I looked down at my watch and saw it was 5:54 am.
"I have to leave soon." I sighed as I began packing my stuff up. I heard Springtrap get up and walk closer behind me.
"Don't get hurt again.." Springtrap whispered, his voice a lot more gravely than before.
"I won't Spring-" "William." Springtrap cut me off. "What?" I asked as I turned around. "My name is William." He explained as he looked down at me. I nodded slowly as his eyes glowed a bit brighter. "I'm still going to call you Springtrap." I teased with a smirk on my face. The robot's eyes rolled as he chuckled. I smiled up at him as I put the bag of things to do in one of the squeaky drawers, closing it after.
Springtrap reached out to me again, touching the collar of my uniform shirt. "Purple.." He smiled. Can he even smile? Whatever. "Purple." I smiled back.
Springtrap brought me into a hug as my shift ended, the 6 am bell ringing. "Stay safe." Spring mumbled. "I will." I smiled into his chest, not even realizing how bad he smelled. I think I've become nose-blind to it as this point.
—Springtrap's POV—
I watched her walk out, seeing my peripheral vision turn purple.
"Don't." I heard Marionette say from next to me. "She hurt Y/n.." I growled. "That doesn't mean she deserves to die." Marionette tried to reason with me, placing one of her lengthy hands on my shoulder. My head snapped in her direction, glaring at the phantom. Marionette sighed as she took her hand off my shoulder. "I think you should actually think about what you're about to do. Don't act on impulse." Marionette warned as she disappeared into the shadow.
"Impulse my ass." I grumbled as I walked out of the attraction, my footsteps a bit heavier than usual. The fright house was closed today. I'd be fine.
"This is for Y/n.."
