14. The Courage To Face Death

"Alaknanda, isn't the fear of death gripping you?" Kanika asked me.

"No. There is no option to fear, Kanika. I cannot stand in fear when it rests on me. Now, you all have to do me just this favour of getting Raj out of here while I fight Virat in the ring. Take him out of here and to Earth. From there he will know how to get to the place." I told them.

"Adya, why do this much risk to save my life?" Raj asked. "Even Ajit can do this. Then why me?"

"Because you have lived all your life in darkness, Raj. No hope in yourself, no faith in yourself. I want you to see the light of hope. The light which comes through knowledge, Raj. You take this letter to Guru Vashista and I promise he will help you."

"Why do this favour to me, Adya? What have I done for you? Just saved your life when it wasn't difficult for me at all. I didn't have to die to save your life. Then why die for me? You saving my life would equal this debt why do so much to request a great Rishi to accept me, a daitya, as his student?" Raj asked. 

"Because I know how much you desire to learn. You are capable but you don't believe that because your parents were terrible people who didn't deserve to birth a child. I want you to find that light that you seek. Only learning gives that light which we lack. I had the great fortune to find my own truth with Guru Vashista's help. I want to die with a satisfaction in my last few moments, I have done someone really good. That my father would be proud of me. He wouldn't be proud of how many demons I have killed. He wouldn't be proud of how many asuras I have defeated. He will be proud of how many lives I have made better. He would be proud of how many lives I have saved. He would be proud of how many people I have brought into the light." I told him. "More than how many times my dad is known is for killing demons, he is knowing for being bhaktavatsala. What will he do with this fact of me being a demon killer? He will proudly claim that his daughter had saved so many lives. He will proudly claim that his child had died to save dharma. Dharma isn't about killing evil. Dharma is about saving the truth. Dharma is about saving the innocent. Dharma is about upholding the good."

"You just have to understand that dharma is also about killing the adharma, Alaknanda." Ajit countered. "The truth doesn't win until the adharma dies."

"It is about defeating Adharma, Ajit. This is the age of Kali demon. But of course, you cannot kill all of adharma because then you have to go kill everyone. Humans, asuras, daityas, danavas, devansha, devas, everyone. The only ones left will be Trideva. That is what Pralay is about. Killing all of creation until only that one complete dharma survives. That one complete dharma is called Manu. So many Manus have come and many more will come. The Vishnu that appears to your eyes will dissolve and become the invisible aakash tattva. The Shiva who has a form will become Shiva who has no form. Shakti that you can see as Devi will also merge to become the eternal Prakriti. Shiva, Shakti, and Vishnu will all give away their physical form and become the eternal Parabrahma. Slowly after several ages, the Shakti will rise again. Shakti will make Hanuman Brahma and push for the creation to begin again. That Shakti will have Brahma create these universes again. Once again, the sages will be born. Once again, the brahma-putra will be born. Once again, they will have children. Once again asuras and devas will be born. What use will all this radicalization happen then? You will also die, Ajit. Pralay saves no one but that Manu. Who truly knows which person that Manu is? Perhaps he isn't even born till now." I told him.

I wore the armour.

"So, you all are clear with the exit plan, right?" I asked them as Maharaj Bali fixed my armour. I saw the ansh of my dad standing at the gate of Sutala. The khaki cargo pants, a yellow shirt with the symbol of a lion, and a flower brooch pinned on his chest. He sat on a chair at the gate.
