"truth"

"why do you work here?, out of all places why did you choose to work as a bartender for superheroes?" she asks making him chuckle he looks at me and smiles

"well the pay is good, but I also I get to see y/n so that is a plus" he says blushing I smile

"Tony truth or dare" Joel says shifting his gaze to Tony who has zoned out. Rhode gives him a nudge

"uh truth" 

"why do you like about y/n" he asks gesturing to me, I frown. Tony looks at me pained 

"um I-" Tony starts upset 

"Tony you don't have to" I say interrupting him, Joel looks at me angry.

"No Tony tell us why you are so obsessed her?" He says turning back to Tony. Who looks at me sadly

"Joel..." f/n says grabbing his arm he shrugs it off.

Tony gets up and walks away, Joel stands and follows 

"Tony why do you keep running? every time things get hard with y/n you lock yourself away" He says mockingly. Tony turns and walks up to him. I run up and stand in between them stopping them from fighting each other

"tony don't" I warn looking at him one of my hands on his chest the other on Joel's. He looks down at me then back up at Joel with anger

"yeah Tony don't" Joel says laughing I glare at him but he sends me a soft smile looking back at Tony. Being stuck in the middle and causing so much drama is making me so tired and angry

they keep yelling back and forth, the team just watching not sure how to handle this, my brother looks at me worried. The frustration and exhaustion eating at me.

"Tony Your just mad that I beat you to it. I did the ONE thing you could not do"

"I Asked her out and you let her slip away AGAIN" he yells. I start getting worried as I feel my body start to fuel with energy I move my hands away from their chest so I am not touching them, still between them so they don't punch each other

"Joel I will only say this once, I will love her and care for her until she needs me. but I am not going to let YOU ruin her happiness, understand" He says jabbing a finger over my head at him

"Funny for you to think her Happiness is up to you!" he says belittling him, I realize Tony just told me he loved me and my anger subsides. I turn to Tony who looks down at me 

"you love me?" I ask he smiles and looks up at Joel, making his smile fade

"y/n your with Joel" he says making me frown

"that was not the question" I say sternly I am 

tired of games 

I am tired of waiting

I am tired, but body starts to fuel up again this time I don't try as hard to ignore it

"y/n" Joel says I turn to him he takes a step back from me.

"your eyes!" he says I turn from everyone and try to calm down. Sam rushes to me but is pushed away from me by Joel

"Joel you don't want to do that let me through" he tries

"Just let me help her, let me help my girlfriend ok?! He yells making it harder for me to calm down. I curse. clenching my fists not wanting my palm to produce the white energy.

"Joel suck it up and move out the way" Sam says pushing past Joel, Joel grabs his shirt and punches him. hearing my brother wince I turn around and firmly grip on Sam's arm and pull him with me trying to get away. Joel stops me

"y/n wait" I sigh 

"Joel STOP! What is wrong with you" I spit helping Sam who cries when I shock him, I mutter sorry before continuing out the room and into my room, Sam sits on the end of my bed as I pass him ice for his eye which is already starting to bruise for Joel's punch

"y/n you almost lost complete control tonight" he says I roll my eyes

"yeah no shit sherlock, why did you have to get yourself punched" I say taking a seat next to him

"well I tried to save your ass from frying your two boyfriends" he says laughing I hit him in the chest zapping him. He winces and we both laugh

I don't understand Joel is not that aggressive person" I say still shocked that he punched my brother and continued to go at it with Tony

"yeah I guess they both really care about you" he says I sigh

"I guess but Sam, Joel saw my eyes" I say 

"maybe he will forget? just tell him the lighting or something"

"when can I tell them?" 

"I will talk to fury about it ok?

"ok thank you" I say kissing his cheek he pushes me away

"ew please save that for Stark or someone" he says getting up and leaving I laugh laying back down on my bed.

"Ms l/n everyone is wondering if you are ok?" I smile

"tell them I am fine just going to bed early" I shower and get ready for bed

when I walk back in the room I stare at myself in the mirror. Flicking my wrist to try evoke my power

when it finally happens I laugh

"I got this" I say flicking my wrist back the small ball of energy disappearing

 "y/n you know I am so proud of you" mum says I smile keeping my eyes on the road

"thanks for the coffee and chat you always know how to calm me down" I say chuckling she smiles

"there are things I need to tell you but first I want to tell you that Nick will always be there for you and we will always look out for you" I look at her and smile taking my eyes off the road for one second

"Y/N LOOK OUT" Mum yelled I look back at the road too late as our car gets hit and I hit my head on the steering wheel passing out giving one look to my mum's terrified face

when I finally come to, I am still in the car I look to mum whos face was still, her body lifeless. Her neck covered in bruises My eyes widen, I quickly unbuckle and reach over to my mum.

"NO MUM NOO. Please WAKE UP" I scream crying I lift her to me hugging her cold body

"please ....please don't leave me..." I cry I hear sirens pulling up outside of the car around the crash. And doctors run to me and open the door they try to take me out of the car but I push them off me

"please help my mum" I cry not fighting back anymore they carry me out of the car wreck and toward the ambulance. I fall asleep as they drive us to the hospital.

"mum" I mummer waking up in the hospital bed. I see Nick next to me with grief in his eyes 

"dad?" I ask making him look at me and hug me 

"where is she? did they help her?" I ask he looks at me with tears in his eyes I shake my head

"no NO she can't be dead, I .... I killed her" I cry breaking down

I wake up to f/n yelling my name not wanting to come closer I look down and my whole body is lit up, shining an electric white. I calm myself down and look at f/n who is terrified

"y/n what happened what was that"

"surprise?"
