"...No."

"What did you say?" Cardin asked.

"I said... NO!"

Jaune gripping the jar of sap in his hand quickly turns and throws it at Cardin, instantly regretting his choice when he sees that Cardin's breastplate was covered in sap. The other team leader, however, just looks at himself and laughs darkly.

"Oh, you've done it now..." Cardin darkly said.

Jaune laughs to himself weakly once more with his hands raised as his defense, but as Dove Bronzewing and Sky Lark grab Jaune's shoulders and pull him in, you could see how terrified he was just from looking at his eyes.

*Many Months Ago*

One day in the Rose/Xiao Long household one Taiyang Xiao Long found himself doing chores around his house. He was in the living room vacuuming his carpet, just doing one of the many chores to keep him busy.

All the while Zwei the corgi rested on the couch. Finally finished he breaths a sigh of relief, the night before was used to help celebrate Ruby's birthday.

And well, it seemed that the small feast ended up becoming a nice little food fight for everyone. When everyone was finally cleaned up, and grabbed some food that was recoverable, the three had decided to take a new family group picture.

With it printed and framed it was placed right next to a picture of Him, Summer, a young Yang and a baby Ruby in Summer's arm as they all looked to the camera. He remembered that picture fondly.

That was the day that Ruby starting walking, Summer who was overjoyed had decided to take a family picture. Looking at the happy family he noticed that Summer in her white cloak was up to his shoulders.

Ruby was right to his knees with Yang up to his thighs, "They were both so small back then." Maybe in a couple years when they reached Beacon they'd be the same height as he and Summer was in the picture is what Taiyang thought.

As he looked at the other picture he couldn't help but smile seeing both his girls grow up so quickly, especially as he looked at yesterday's photo and saw that Ruby was up to his neck and Yang was about his height-

"Wait what?"

Taiyang took a double take when looking at the picture, "That can't be right...Could it?" Yes, when looking at the picture he saw that Ruby, without her goggles on, was up to his neck.

But Yang was about his height!

Looking around and seeing nobody around, taking a certain photo out from his pocket he takes a look.

Taiyang smiles, reminiscing on days past, but as he looks at Summer. "Yeah, everything looks right, they should be that tall...Right?" Taiyang questioned even though he knew that picture was taken a long time after the school year started.

"How did they get so tall?" He had to ask, confused beyond belief.

While in the forest where Surveyor was, Ruby and Yang were stopped from another scuffle with Ether covering their bodies. Both sitting against the robot eye.

"Hey Ruby."

"Yeah?"

"You know how Surveyor covers us in this...Aura?"

"Yeah?"

"So what is this stuff anyway?"

"...Uuhhhh" Ruby said looking away nervously.

"Ruby, what is it."

"....." Ruby putting her goggles on tried to scan the Aura-like substance, but with no such luck.

"Ruby." Yang said a little more forceful.

"...I have no idea." The red hooded girl finally said.

With another burst of Ether given to the young women both of them did nothing. "We've just been exposed to years worth of unknown energy haven't we?" Ruby asked, "...Yeah..." was Yang's response.

And yet, both didn't care to move from the Ether giving Servitor.
