"What are we looking at?" Loki inquires.
"Nothing at the moment," you answer and stand back up, "I have something to show you," you grab him.
You teleport the two of you far outside of the city, to a hidden cove you found when in Hummingbird bay on a visit.
"I'm impressed," Loki says at your newfound ability.
"Thanks, but that's not what I wanted to show you," you lead him across the sand, out from underneath the rocky archway.
"The water here channels the energy of the moon, it's the source of the power of the moon elves in the valley, the sea elves here in Hummingbird bay and the mermaids in the Sea of Marmora," you explain, "It's also just magnificent," you add.
Loki gazes at the small fjord, admiring the reflection of the constellation in the water, while you admire him. You don't even understand how he was so willing to help you after how much you've tried to push him away.
"You're right, it's glorious," he agrees, the two of you sitting down on the white sand.
"Perfect," your eyes fixed on him, and he turns to you, "The cove, it's perfect," you look away and clear your throat.
"Y/N I have to tell you-"
"No wait, I have to tell you something first, and I feel like I need to explain why I did some of the things I did," you tilt your head back towards him, feeling overcome with nerves.
"That night, after we slept together, I said to forget that it ever happened, that it was a mistake," you begin, Loki's eyes fixed on you, listening attentively.
"The reason I avoided it, you, was because it's the opposite. I'm sorry, I'm really struggling right now," you laugh nervously, and run your hand through your hair. How the hell do people talk about feelings, it's agonising.
"Loki, in the fight against Erik, when he was manipulating my mind, he showed me a vision. One of my biggest fear," you start again, being vulnerable is extremely difficult.
"It was of you, the night you helped me train, except in his illusion I killed you with the blast," you elaborate.
"My biggest fear is losing you," you turn back to him, letting out a sigh. You've really laid it all out there.
Loki places a hand on your cheek, looking at you in bewilderment, examining your expression. He leans in, pressing his lips to yours softly, his other arm pulling you in closer. The kiss is tender and gentle, different from the last time. He pulls away, his forehead resting against yours, before separating to look at you.
"Please don't tell me this is all some sort of trick," he says in a hushed tone, his hand still cupping your face.
"I wish it was," you quip and roll your eyes.
"I didn't think you felt the same way," he whispers, still surprised by your sudden honesty.
"What can I say, I'm a good liar, although you were quite obvious," you comment earning a scoff from the god.
"I was not," he says defensively.
"Oh come on, you tried to kiss me back when you still had a girlfriend," you tease knowingly.
"In my defence, she was a literal demon," he justifies.
"Okay, I'll give you that one," you smirk, and he plants another soft kiss on your lips.
"Hey, you have a coronation to get back to," he helps you up off the ground.
"I do, don't I," you almost forgot, completely distracted by the handsome god in front of you. You hold onto him, teleporting you back to the balcony.
