???????? 101: Chapter 2

You smiled to yourself, realizing he was being kind to you, even though his presence didn't seem that way.

"Why are you smiling? Hmm, it doesn't matter. Come, we should be leaving already," he said to you. He turned swiftly on his heel and started to walk forward. As you strode away along with him, you heard a voice say," Who is that?"

You look behind you and see the famous pink-haired Itadori; the only one you could recognize without hesitation from the manga you read before falling asleep.

The raven-haired male was beside him, guarding his dorm room. He turned to you and his eyes were wide from surprise, though the rest of his face was relaxed.

Then your eyes found their way to Gojo, who was smiling widely," You don't have to worry about her right now," he told him.

You look away, your sight now focusing on the back of the large principal you're following. Your eyes begin to wander around the scenery, seeing as the buildings structurally look like Japanese buildings. They are beautiful. Glorious in structure, and the sun hitting the shingles on the roof made it glimmer. The school itself was surrounded by a forest. Your breath was taken away, if this was Tokyo it sure seemed peaceful and not like the busy city that it was known as. You wished you could tell your friends where you are right now; they would be very jealous of you.

It doesn't take long to find yourselves near the outskirts of the forest that surrounded the school.

Principal Yaga stops himself and turns to you," Do you hear the plants right now (L/N)?"

You close your eyes and try to listen in," Hmm, I can't tell," you say to him with an uncertain tone.

"Try going in the forest then," he says to you, gesturing towards the trees.

You nod and take a couple of steps forward, once you are covered by the shadows of the branches and leaves, you stop.

Instantly you cover your ears, hearing a bunch of voices surround your eardrums. So many pitches and volumes. They were all uncontrollable and wild. You quickly run out of the forest and gasp for air that wasn't suffocating.

The voices died down allowing you to drop your hands to your sides.

"What happened?" Yaga asked you.

"There were so many-- voices in there. It was exhausting. I felt suffocated from just entering the forest," you told him, still trying to figure out what you felt. It was an odd sensation and nothing you enjoyed.

"Hmm. And what about the grass you're currently stepping on. You can't hear it?"

You nod your head. The grass was completely silent.

"Interesting. I'm learning more about the ability you have. Okay turn around, see the potted plant you heard from last night?"

You turn to see the same large-leafed plant from last night.

"Do you hear it now?" He asked you.

You listen in, but you don't hear anything come from the potted plant. It was completely silent," Um, did you water it?" you asked him," Because I can't hear anything."

"No, I didn't... I really should do that... No matter, you can't hear it right now?"

You nod again and turn towards him, seeing his face looking up, the sun making his orange glasses have a glint on the reflection," I see. Let me explain to you what cursed energy is (L/N)."

His face lowers his gaze now on you, making your body stiffen, you're still intimidated by his stare. He continues," Cursed energy is born from negative emotions. You've possibly zoned on the plant's soul because yesterday was stressful for you. But seeing as the forest is surrounded by hundreds of plant life; you don't really need to hone your abilities and emotions to hear them. But singular plants and as well as grass; you'd need to undergo training to understand them. Does this make sense to you?"
