Clint walked over to me and leant beside me, nudging me with his shoulder.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked.
I sighed and twisted my fingers.
"The Maximoff twins," I admitted.
Clint scoffed.
"If you find one of them cute, please let it be the girl," he said. "The boy is a little shit."
I grinned and shoved him.
"They're both good looking," I said. "They have good genes. Same can't be said for you, unfortunately."
Clint gasped in mock outrage and placed a hand on his heart.
"That is just plain rude. You are grounded, little missy."
I laughed and Clint started laughing too.
"Wanna go back in?" he asked.
I shrugged and nodded, following him back into the party. I saw Rhodes talking to a big group of people and heard the words, 'boom, you looking for this?' The group began laughing and Rhodes nodded approvingly. I grinned to myself.
I looked around the party and saw Thor pouring something into a drink for Steve. I started walking over to them when Tony grabbed my arm.
"Nuh uh," he said.
I groaned and rolled my eyes.
"You know, it's almost legal for me to drink in Australia," I said.
"Then you can drink when you're in Australia," Tony said. "C'mon, let's get you a soda."
I rolled my eyes but followed him.
After a few hours, the only people left at the party were the Avengers, Helen Cho, and Maria Hill. We all sat around in couches, and I sat snuggled into Nat's side.
"It's a trick!" Clint said, referring to Thor's hammer.
"Oh, no. It's much more than that," Thor said, grinning.
"Uh, 'Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power!' Whatever man! It's a trick," Clint said.
Thor gestured to the hammer.
"Well please, be my guest."
My eyes widened and I grinned.
"Really?" Clint asked.
"Yeah," Thor said, his grin widening.
Clint got up and walked towards the hammer.
"Oh, this is gonna be beautiful," I said, rubbing my hands together.
"Clint, you've had a tough week, we won't hold it against you if you can't get it up," Tony said.
I laughed along with the others and Clint rolled his eyes. Clint grabbed the hammer and grunted as he tried to lift it. He let go and laughed.
"Still don't know how you do it!" he exclaimed.
Thor grinned and Tony made a joke to which Clint replied that he try to lift it. Tony grinned and tried but failed. He grabbed his Iron Man hand and tried again, but to no avail. He even got Rhodey to help him, but the hammer stayed rooted on the table.
Bruce then tried and failed, and then it was Steve's turn. He rolled up his sleeves and I wolf whistled. Natasha shoved me lightly and the others laughed. Steve grabbed the hammer and began to pull, and I could have sworn that I saw the hammer move slightly, but Steve just sighed and let go, putting his hands up in defeat. I looked to Thor who had a relieved expression on his face.
