Daisy (Part I & II)

Chapter 19 - Ma and Pops

Henry picks me up and sets me on the counter as he grabs my toothbrush and toothpaste. I brush my teeth with all my brothers intently watching me.

Once I'm done I look at all of them. "I don't want to be alone." I whimper.

"SLUMBER PARTY!" Roman shouts to the top of his lungs earning shushes from everyone.

"Is that what you want Daisy?" James asks me. I nod and he smiles at me. "Boys get the blankets and pillows."

"YASSSS!" Roman screams running off. Noah and Xan following behind him rolling their eyes.

It's just James and Henry now. "How are you feeling bug?" James asks me.

I just shrug my shoulders. I am quite shaken up.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Henry asks me. I think about it and nod.

"I was back in the basement, they were carving my stomach. I could feel the pain. It still kinda hurts." I tell them honestly.

"Let me see your stomach baby." Henry softly asks me. I lift my shirt and see that I had been scratching it in my sleep and it's now bleeding in certain spots.

"Oh Daisy." James sighs. I feel tears prick my eyes. He quickly wiped them away as Henry cleans my stomach.

Once he's done I drop my shirt and James gives me a piggyback ride to the living room.

The boys have set up the couches with all of the blankets and Noah even brought down my favourite blanket that he keeps on his bed.

"Okay let's try to sleep. It's 2 in the morning and Miss Daisy has a big day today." Henry says while nudging me.

All the boys grumble and I walk over to Noah. He's already wrapped in the blanket. He sees me coming and opens the blanket and smiles as I lie with him on the couch.

The rest of the boys all kiss me on the forehead before they make there way to the spots they are sleeping in tonight.

Noah wraps his huge arms around me and traps me in his embrace. "Goodnight baby."

"Night." I whisper before falling asleep.

"Okay Daisy remember stay beside grandma and grandpa at all times no wandering off." James reminds me for the millionth time in the past ten minutes.

I stick my hand out and hold out my pinky. "Promise."

He chuckles before sealing the promise.

I woke up an hour ago and ate breakfast with the boys and now I am waiting for Ma and Pops to pick me up.

I am so excited.

James starts playing around with my coat making sure that I am all zipped up and protected from the cold wind.

"James?" I question him. He stops messing around with my coat and looks at me. He nods. "Can Dante come over again?"

He starts smiling. "Why baby?" He asks while resuming messing around with my coat.

"He was fun and you seem to really like him so I like him." I tell him.

"When do you want to see him again?"

"Tomorrow! You me and him." He looks panicked for a second but quickly covers it with a smile. Weirdo.

"I don't know baby, he is a busy man." He says while shaking his head. I look down.

"Oh okay." I whisper. James stops and pulls my chin up.

"I'll ask him okay?" He softly tells me. I hug him and pull away when I hear knocks at the door.
