He was the one

"I'm sorry Wilbur"

"No, please Y/N no, I'll be home in 5 minutes please stay with us." He said knowing what was going on. "Y/N please I- I can't lose you" He choked out.

Hearing him cry made me feel even worse.

"I'm sorry," I said before I hung up.

My whole body was shaking. I hated hearing him like that but I had to do it. I pressed the razor against my skin and I cut. I cut deeper than I had before. It stung. A lot. Tears fell onto the floor along with blood. After the first cut, I made five more. Each cut to represent each person I failed. Niki, Tubbo, Tommy, Ranboo, Wilbur, and me. I failed myself. I failed all my friends. I held my wrist in my hand crying and shaking. The floor was covered in blood.

I suddenly heard the front door open and 4 pairs of feet run upstairs. The bathroom door burst open and I was met with Wilbur in tears and shaking. I saw Tommy hugging a sobbing Tubbo and Ranboo was also shaking.

"Y/N can you hear me?" He asked.

I nodded weakly.

"Hey, it's going to be ok, Tommy, call the ambulance, Y/N you can do this, please." He sobbed.

"Wilbur, it's too late, I'm sorry," I said weakly.

"No Y/N don't say that, we can help you, you can make it out of this, please, I can't lose you, it's too soon," He said.

"Y/N I can't lose you, I don't know what I'd do without you" I heard Tommy say.

"It'll be ok guys, it's for the best," I said shakily.

I started getting colder and that's when I knew my time was nearly up.

"Tommy come here please," I said.

Tommy came into the room and held my hand.

"Thank you for everything you have ever done for me, you are the reason I lived to be able to experience the things I have in the last year, you never gave up on me so please don't give up on yourself. I did this to protect you all and I promise you'll know why. I love you so much Tommy, and you will be ok. Just promise one thing?" I asked.

Tommy looked at me with red, puffy eyes.

"Promise me you'll never stop being you, keep streaming, keep being the annoying little bitch you are, please stay strong," I said.

Tommy nodded his head and hugged me softly. Tubbo and Ranboo came into the room.

"I love you guys so much, please look out for each other. Ranboo you are the designated cook from now on" I said, trying to lighten the mood slightly.

The three boys looked at each other and nodded.

"Love you big man" I directed towards Tommy.

I turned to Wilbur and he was a mess. His face was red and he didn't look like himself.

"Y/N I'm sorry it led to this I-" Wilbur tried to say.

"I'm sorry Wil this is my fault"

I started getting colder and my body felt numb.

"I don't have much time left but promise me you won't give up. You are one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I don't want you to blame yourself for this. Please keep playing music and streaming, keep messing around with the boys. Just because you've lost me doesn't mean you're going to lose yourself. I'm doing this for a reason so please make sure it was worth it."

"Y/N you've helped me more than you could ever know, I promise I'll be strong. It'll take me a very long time but I promise we'll be ok." He said.

I knew he was half lying. I knew he would never be the same, but he didn't want me to know that.

My vision started going blurry and I felt myself fading in and out of consciousness. Everyone seemed to notice.

"I know I've waited too long to say this and I should've said it sooner, but I love you Y/N. I have for a very long time and now, I can't do anything about it" He said, crying even harder.

With my remaining strength I softly grabbed Wilbur's hand and rubbed my thumb along the top of his palm.

"Wilbur, I love you too," I said.

Wil leaned down and softly kissed me. The kiss was full of love, sadness, and regret. All while being mixed with our salty tears. Wilbur pulled away and looked at me with pure sorrow. I smiled weakly at him before closing my eyes.

My hand fell limp in his, and I died knowing he was the one I loved.

And he was the one who loved me back.
