A Wish in an Illusion Part 2

Start from the beginning

Elan tilted his head, "But Lucas.... never mind. So, what's going to happen? Apparently, I'm not this 'Sabre' person all of you seem to think I am"

"Maybe with enough power we can turn you back" Guardian suggested.

"That's a great idea, but how?"

As the two went back and forth between ideas, Elan walk to Illusion who was surprised.

"Who are you Mr.?"

"I'm Illusion" The Steve knelt to the child's height, "May I ask what the last thing is you remember?"

"I was about to fall asleep; it was a long day with bullies and people trying to separate us"

"Us?"

"Me, my cousin and our friends. We won't go with adults, not after what they did to us"

"What has occurred to make you distrust them?"

"Everyone abandons me because I'm 'different'. Lucas is ignored until they need something from him. As for everyone else, they have their reason, that's just ours"

"I see"

"Why can't you understand?! It's the only way!"

"If it's the only way then you do it!"

Illusion and Elan turned their attention to Alex and Guardian who were arguing. Elan felt a surge of electricity go through his head, painful enough for him to grab his hair and kneel a bit. Feeling worried about the young one, Illusion question if he was alright.

"It's like any other time" Elan huffed, "I'll find my way home all by myself."

"It's dangerous for you-"

"I know, I know" Elan signed, "But I don't want to hear them argue and I don't think you want to help, I mean you called me 'Sabre' and have issues with whoever he is. So, I believe that won't work out"

Illusion frowned, Sabre seems colder as a child than an adult, but what would he know? Sabre is full of secrets; his emotions could be masked and with no one really paying attention, no one would know what he is feeling.

At this point, Alex and Guardian came over.

"Hey Elan, we have a question for you"

"Whatever it is, I don't want to hear it" Elan growled, "The moment I answer, both of you will get into an argument, that's how it always goes"

The three were surprised.

"Sa-Elan, no, we won't argue, I-"

"Don't make promises you can't keep"

That statement struck Alex and Guardian hard, Sabre would say that whenever he was upset or getting angry. While two were stuck with guilt, Elan walked away.

"E-"

"I don't care"

"You two" Illusion scoff, "Even I know arguing in front of a child is never a good thing. Especially since it's Sabre"

Illusion teleported away. Guardian look down in guilt as Alex stayed frozen.

--------------------------

Illusion teleported to a forest with a little boy in his arms. The Steve look at the child and frowned; the boy's eyes are exposed, and all sorts of emotions were on displayed.

"Are you alright little one?" Illusion asks, sitting against a tree

" 'm sorry"

"Sorry for what?" Elan curled into a small ball, "I'm the reason people argue and separate, no one wants me, no one will ever want me."

The child's statement made Illusion's heart clench, "Elan, you may not remember, but there are beings in the future who do want you. They wish to protect and keep you safe."

'You're not telling the truth' Elan thought then signed, "The future doesn't matter, it never happened."

"But you must decide for the future as it will become the present" Illusion advised.

Elan smiled a bit, "I had a friend who once said that he was taken to a kingdom to be trained as a warrior to be with his best friend who's training to become a hunter. Those two are close as my cousin and I"

"I must ask Elan, why are your eyes different colors?" Illusion asked, remembering that they were grey when he spied on Sabre before.

The child looks away, "That's one of the reasons no one wants me. Both used to be green, a color that my former family members adored but something happened, and now they are turning grey. Lucas is the only one who likes them, told me once grey eyes mean wisdom"

"I see, Elan, does the name Sabre mean anything to you?"

"No but sounds like savoir you know" Elan said.

Illusion froze.

"Have you ever heard of Herobrine? No really knows why he's called that, but some believe Hero is his name and Brine is short for binary since he's Notch's brother and all. Others think the Hero portion is because he really is one. That he was a normal human, but something happened, and his brother used the ancient magic of binary. There's another theory..."

The Steve was half listening to Elan, it never occurred to him that Sabre's name being close to savior. Sabre is an odd name to be given, but if Elan is Sabre's real name, then where did Sabre come from?

Elan noticed that the Steve was no longer listening, "Hello Illusion?"

"Elan, may I ask you something?"

"Sure?"

"If you had to choose, would you pick reality or illusion?"

"What do you mean?"

"Would you live as you were now, in reality, or would you live in a world where you can be and have everything you ever want, the illusion?"

The brunet looked at him odd but before he could answer, a voice called out.

"Elan! Where are you?! We're sorry for arguing! Please come back!"

Next thing both human and entity knew was Alex and Guardian appearing from a bush.

"Elan!" Alex was quick to grab the child and hug him, "We were so worried, I'm sorry for arguing, I should know better"

"It's okay, I guess?" Elan said unsure, somewhat hugging the female back, "And it's not the first time, I just want to get back to my cousin, but I don't think that's happening any time soon"

Alex put Elan down and gave him a saddened expression, "I'm sorry"

"Don't be, you don't have control" Elan shrugged then turned to Illusion, "And about your question Illusion"

"I chose reality"

And that's when the illusion shattered.
