I smiled.
"Your sister, Yashasvi, is my friend. I met her when I was admitted in Guruvedi here." I told her. She smiled, a hopeful look in her eyes.
"How is she? Is she alright? Is she happy? What about maa?" She asked.
"I am not aware of your mother but Yashasvi is alright. She might probably be in Gurukul. She tried her best to help me. Even protected me when I was in danger. I'm really grateful to her."
She seemed really happy. She asked me more about Yashasvi and I told her all that I knew about her. She was happy to know about her sister.
Why was Aakram so obsessed with Payal? Sure, Payal was beautiful but the age difference was blaring large. Like she was as old as his own niece. Sure, she was 18, so one couldn't say that this was pedophilia. But come on, he was adamant about getting her back when she was much younger.
Again, why was he obsessed with a girl who was devoted to my father?
"Are you going pose as my bodyguard here?" She asked.
"Would seem so. That is a very good idea."
"Did you meet Nandini?"
"You know?"
"I have known since the time she ever started liking you. I was the only girl of her age, so she often shared her feelings with me. She does really love you."
I chuckled. "Yet, the difference between us wouldn't change. I cannot ever support what she is supporting. She cannot support what I'm supporting. Our ideologies clash. It would be well for a while if we even get together but after a while, our ideologies will clash so badly that there is nothing we can do but walk away. Why come together only to be pushed away? Our mindsets are different, our beliefs are different. You can love someone dear but still not cross the line for them."
"You want her to cross that bridge and she wants you to cross the bridge."
"I cannot cross the bridge and join someone who kills people as he pleases. To kill people just to reach his goal. I also would go to lengths to reach my goal but I wouldn't sell away my morals to the devil. Some morals are required for one to be qualified as a sentient being. I do not wish to dishonor the upbringing that my Nana and Nani had given me. I wouldn't let anything bring insult to my parents who gave birth to me. I wouldn't let someone walk over everything someone has achieved with a lot of hard work and honesty. I wouldn't harm innocent people to reach my goal. Virat stands for everything that I am not willing to support. You cross the bridge when there is at least one thing that they do that you can stand for. There is not even a single thing Virat does that I can stand for. This thing called Dharma comes between. I can love someone but still not abandon Dharma for them."
She smiled at me.
"Nandini's father, Vidhyut, was killed by Narayana in a battle. He was a rare kind of father found in Patala who actually loves his children dearly. The one who honored the marriage he made to his wife. Treated her with respect, love, and affection. So, if you see from Nandini's perspective, he was a great person. With all this, Vidhyut had killed several of Vishnu devotees. He had killed several humans. He murdered several devansh. He had insulted the Rishis, Rishikas, and several respectable people. It was a regular event for him to disrupt the peaceful yagyas that the Rishis would do. He had killed several sadhus. The peak was when he almost threatened to kill Kadru and Vinata. He captured and threaten Maharishi Kashyap, his own father. Shesha and Garuda both were disturbed. That was it for Narayana. He had enough of bearing with Vidhyut. He gave Vidhyut a warning to stop but he challenged Vishnu to come to battle him. That was it. He killed Vidhyut. When he killed Vidhyut, Diti got really angry."
